Most of the omegaverses I’ve read deal with some tropes that I just despise. Mainly the “I raped you because I love you so now you love me back“. The uncontrollable seme that can’t be held accountable for his actions, and the helpless uke that just gets on my nerves. A fated partners type of thing, and sometimes (rarely) mpreg. I’m a big believer that if you’re going to put rape in a story, you better use it right and not just as a lazy plot device.

Of course I know that not all omegavers is like this, I have read some good ones before. It’s just most of the time they do end up falling into these tropes and it ends up making me irritated. I’ve just avoid the genre as a whole since it’s much easier that way.

Power to you if you like it though. I have a couple friends that really like it and I would never wanna take that away from them.

Honestly the whole premise of omegaverse. The omegas are almost never equal the the seme, they have so many physical disadvantages. Its ALMOST impossible to have a healthy couple. And than theres just so much rape they never acknowledge as such. I just dont like it.

I like the concept and the opportunities it gives BL but I hate the whole thing about heat and rape. It sucks so dam much ad most of the stories are like "Oh i don't like my gender never-mind I raped/got raped and now I'm super into my instincts and like it a lot"

Sadly, I don't really have friends in real life. But I'm totally fine by myself though. I don't really want to talk shit about my ex and I think that it's not really a good thing to do. I really cherish that person but it they do not feel the same. Also, we've known each other for a long time. More than 6 years since puberty although we've only been in a relationship more than 5 months.

How to give your mind a break?

I totally agree with this. People don't give themselves enough time to get to know their own personality better which is kinda sad. People most of the times don't love themselves and that's why they go with people right after breaking up cause they miss that love and attention, the compliments blah blah.
