He and Yeonwoo's combined malice is given power by the mirror. It isn't just one or the other. The hands are generated by both of them. Jun's journey is to remember and accept that he and Yeonwoo got what Jun wished for with the black mirror and that they continue to use its power.
Basically, the mirror is a manifestation of their desire to be just the two of them but the nature of the mirror is that it is through malice (murder). It doesn't both them because humans are sometimes good. Sometimes bad. But at their core people don't change.
Or at least that's my understanding of it. I can't say I get it 100%.
