******* Spoiler *******
From what I 'heard' (not sure if it's just a rumor or from the novel. I forgot lmao):
1. The king is Ava himself, the Ava cult leader.
2. Before Camilla was born, the cult got a prophecy that a newborn child will grow up and destroy them for good. So if they didn't want that to happen, they must kill the newborn before he/she grows up.
3. Ava cult have an item (I think it's the mirror) that can detect which one of the newborn is the one who was prophecied to ruin the cult.
4. Dorman was also one of the cult's victims when he was human. His younger brother got his body stolen to the cult. So when Dorman knew about the prophecy, he INTENTIONALLY swap the souls.
5. After Dorman swapped the souls, the Ava cult didn't find anyone that fit their prediction and thought it was just a hoax. So they live happily and continue to grow the cult.
6. The reason Dorman swap the souls are because a newborn is too weak to fight a whole cult group.
7. After the condition is right, the souls are now swap back to their original body. Dorman thinks that he already bought enough time for Camilla to finally fight the cult.
... But take this with a pinch of salt. Coz I'm not sure if I got these info correctly or not lmao
So in the end, the Korean baby who was switched with Camilla was the real victim...Poor baby, got thrown to a different world where people doesn't like her then when finally come back to her real world, it was where her life was on the top and knowing herself if quite the opposite of Camilla, I'm sure she can't cope up with it. Plus no one even explain anything to her there since there's no Dorman there.
It's mostly right (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ great job!! Just to add on, I don't think there was a "prophecy" per se. In texts, they're called mirrors but really they're just ppl who can see spirits like Camilla can. The cult's been getting rid of them for so long that most believe it's an item and not actual ppl.
When Mars "destroyed" the cult 500yrs ago, he was aided by someone who can see ghosts and the cult leader decided to get rid of all the mirrors afterwards with the help of an artifact. Naturally it alerted them when Camilla was born as well but they couldn't find her since she was in another world and they assumed she had died and gave up. It never went into details but I think the artifact not only showed when a "mirror" was born but could also track them down... scary.
I wish they went more into Doorman's brother (like a final meeting with his reincarnation or smth) for some closure bc he definitely deserved it!
No worries! As compensation, she gets a system like ability that shows her how much a person actually likes her. Both platonic and romantic love.
I definitely agree she was the biggest victim here tho. There's actually an arc where they decide to swap back for a little glbit and honestly, I didn't like how she was treated like an enemy and intruder. She actively saw how the family she desperately wanted approval from treated FL so lovingly and I thought it was quite sad bc she still didn't have family as her Korean self (sh*t spawner still sh*t)
Not all is lost tho bc she's actually just as talented in acting and FL's hated rival (one-sided beef) is now her love interest. Camilla was fuming at the possibility but in the end said nothing about it bc it's not her life anymore and she wanted her to be happy
