Oh I'm not confused as to why. Just shocked to see a husband actually divorcing his crazy spouse and protecting his kid though he did take to long on protecting the kid imo.

Normally the husbands stay with them to the end, and are just as crazy as their spouse. So seeing a normal spouse who is kind and kind of a pushover to be like "fuck I can't take no more, divorce!" It's quite refreshing

Any child can be reformed but not that vile flesh of a monster. Its like saying that a child who was raised with love killed out of malice and for the fun of it with no remorse or guilt can be change by a few hugs and kisses (yes it happened irl theres a rotten mango entry of that and yes i bet katherine wouldnt bat an eye killing a person in the future, if she can cast her real mother out for dragging her down then “accidentally” pushing someone down the stairs is piece of cake)

But also you are so kind for having the capacity to love the child that not only betrayed you and actively planned to harm/kill you but also abused your real daughter to near death with no remorse. (Not being sarcastic)

That's nice of you to say, but I actually lack empathy in all honesty. The way I see it is adults are harder to change to be good people since they are more set in their ways. Where as children still are growing and their minds are still that of sponges and can learn to be better if given or taught to be better. Now I am not saying there isn't children out there that haven't done the same and show they would do it again. Those are definitely serial killers in the making. But Katherine was shown to be a good child when she saw her father kissing what she thought was her mother's best friend and was even going to tell on them to her. But of course the ex best friend sunk her claws in her, which made her turn twisted. Do I think Katherine should still face some type of punishment, yes. But nothing on the same level as the two adults.

Nope she’s old enough to know better. She chose to beat the real daughter. She chose to ignored all the affection FL gave her and be happy at her dying and suffering. You understand she tortured and helped kill the real daughter, that’s not something forgivable. In real life, children who murders another does not get off free just because they’re a child. It takes a lot of strength to be able to muster up the courage to do something so horrible.

Think about it from the FL’s perspective. You would be so forgiving towards her for nursing your own daughter, just because she’s a kid too? And the kid also has no guilt?

Like I said in the post above, I am not saying she doesn't deserve punishment. She absolutely does. But out of the three villains in this story two of them wanted to kill our MC from the get go. One of them only did any sort of terrible deed once one of them got their claws into her. Also there are plenty of stories, where someone was put into a position where they killed the MC because of something but in a different timeline they remain alive because the MC came and showed them a different path. Now you can say that Katherine is still going down the path of evil in this second time line and you would be correct but at the same time MC is only giving her situations to keep her on the same path. Then again it could also be said that she attempted to see if she would change in the earlier situations. I don't know when it comes to children, I have always seen them very moldable clay. The human mind doesn't stop developing till at least 30. Again we did she was a good child earlier, and was a genuine kind child, before all of this. Where as the adults here did all of this because they envied the life our MC had. The ex best friend from childhood till now has hated and was jealous of her whole life and the horrible husband is taking out his anger and jealousy because he was a poor noble and wants to use the MC to live a good life but you can also say that the husband isn't all that evil either. There are plenty of people in the world we live in who do the same thing. They had a poor upbringing so they either make money to never feel that way again or marry someone who has money. The only thing that really makes the husband evil is the killing part and hooking up with the ex best friend. Do I feel bad for any of them no not really.

Did you forget that you yourself pointed out that Katherine helped TORTURE AND KILL the real daughter?? Even the fake friend didn’t lay her hands on her. Katherine was the one to willingly beat her all the time. It literally didn’t even take more than one sentence for Katherine to change her mind and work with them. She also abandoned her OWN biological mother due to her greed. Don’t forget that the real daughter WANTS revenge on the person that tortured her as well. She deserves to have that revenge. Don’t forget the father also ordered to have the 15 year old true daughter executed by multiple arrows. They all wished for her death. This isn’t about other stories, this is about this story. I’m sorry but would you defend teenagers that have murdered and bullied other teens in real life? Would you defend real life serial killers that started out decapitating cats and small animals as children?

A real mother would never forgive anyone that harmed their child. I don’t think you understand how a mother would feel. Anyways don’t you see the theme? Not everyone is able to become a good person. Both the husband and the fake friend didn’t have terrible lives, they had caring parents, they just weren’t super wealthy, but they grew up to be horrible people regardless of all the affection they received. Their daughter also easily turned on the FL despite how much the FL loved her.

One I am a mother, two real people and story people are two completely different things. Real teenagers get sent to jail for doing things that Katherine did. I was put in a situation with my own children. My son got whipped by a another kid with an electrical wire everyday at school. You know what I did I went to the school and said if they do not fix the problem immediately I will get my own family who work in law enforcement to fix this issue and everyone will know about this in a hot fucking second. I would make everyone's life a living hell. It got resolved. Nevertheless I still stand by what I said for this story, yes she does need a punishment, again I am not saying she doesn't. But the punishment needs to be fitting for their time period. Which is also means jail. Also I know that people whether they are children have shown to be serial killers, I have stated that up above. But she is not one of those serial killers. Who went about killing animals before doing bad shit. She is a girl who had her entire world flipped upside down in a few sentences from the best friend. You see she witnessed her dad cheating, with someone who was (what she thought was her real moms best friend) only to be told she is not even the mcs real kid, that she is her child. Basically being told that her entire life is a lie and that she is nothing but a bastards child or whatever term they used during these times. Then not only that the true mother says and what do you think will happen if mc finds out. Do you not realize that all that information being told and what you saw especially to someone who is in a stage of youth where emotions are so unstable because they are still developing mentally and physically. Teenagers make the most irrational decisions in their life because they think everything is world ending in their minds. Shit even when I was a teenager when I had lost a best friend I wanted to kill myself because they were no longer in my life. I thought my world fucking ended. But in the end we made up and became friends again. Teenagers are irrational beings which is why society if they do anything bad send them to juvie or a place to help get them past what they have done in hopes that they learned from doing something stupid. And when they get turned to adults they either go to adult prison or they're records get sealed and expunged.

Still being a teen isn’t enough of an excuse. If the real daughter wants revenge her way, then she’s valid after being tortured by someone her own age. The damage is already done. The fake daughter had a chance, she wasn’t actually being threatened to keep quiet, she kept quiet because she wanted to keep her title and lavish life.

At the end of the day, mc hardly did anything as revenge for the fake daughter. At most, was strict and didn’t let her do what she wanted. You just need to accept that not every child can be changed. No amount of affection would’ve changed her. She ALREADY received love from the FL her whole life, yet she mercilessly didn’t care about her. She made FL fall down the stairs in the CURRENT life. She still beat the real daughter in the current life. She was upset her biological mother failed at KILLING her. She felt NO REMORSE for either the real daughter or the FL in her past life. Not a single tear. This really is not the story for you. You forgive a teen torturing and killing another teen too easily. I feel like you’re way too focused on babying a teen and constantly brushing off the fact that she tortured the real daughter. This is the real daughters revenge, she deserves it.

I am not focused on babying a teen or brushing off what she did. At any point did I say that she shouldn't be punished? Seriously not the story for me. Honey I've been reading this kind of shit since I was a kid. I am a person who looks at all perspectives not just one side. Maybe you should actually do that instead of just condemning characters left and right. Everyone in their own mind believes they are heros of their own stories no one wants to believe they could be a villain in someone else's. Personally my favorite genre of storyline is mind break. Seeing someone turn evil. If you want to see her as evil and get tortured and killed that's your prerogative. All I am saying in the end is that if I was the MC in this story was using her to really hate the biological mother and see me as a true mother in this scenario. Because to me having her love me more then her actual bio mom would give me such pure fucking ecstasy in a revenge. But I would also use this new timeline to actually try to reverse the damage of the path she is going down on. If she didn't well then yeah fuck her. But as I stated again and again there are plenty of stories where people were villains in the first timeline were horrible but the next one they are loved and had more options given to them to change their path. If anything I would say the MC didn't even attempt to put her on the right path because she knew her ex best friend and her daughter had her bio daughter somewhere. Knowing full well that if the daughter is truly vile would end up hurting her. Which makes the MC even kind of evil from a certain perspective cause she put her real daughter in danger, just cause she wants to get back at them.

XD exactly it was so hard to take that scene even remotely seriously. Then literally after it, it's them sitting in a jail cell and I'm like yeah.. so fucking harsh on that interrogation. I'm shaking in my boots! XD
