So i remember reading the novel and thinking and waiting for the ML to really go through the wringer to make it up to the FL and though there has been moments of some atonement, for me, it just wasnt enough. But for some reason, i finished the novel and felt pretty OK about it all. Migght have to give it a reread.

Finished this yesterday and ive left it to stew. So basically bro went back with her and did absolutely nothing to change her fate. When he did psych himself up to finally protect her this time around but did nothing to protect her from them. No plan, no intention, nothing. Even his resolve to finally confess took a while, and for someone who was given a second chance at life, it doesnt look good for him. All he did was do slight questioning of “do u love him” and yeah he was there for her when he needed her but those are not the actions of a man who went back in time to save his true love, he was just “shes not acting the same” or “i cant let her see them flirting in the pantry. Now im just thinking, it wouldve been better off if he didnt come back with her.
