If the creator of this manga were to have physical copies I would buy it in a heartbeat. I personally like having a physical book opposed to a digital one.

Everyone confused about the plot look at the middle panel in chapter 56 page 6

This is the only website I've seen where this manga is listed under 'tragedy'. Tragedy doesn't mean that it has to have a sad ending, it sometimes pertains to a character's past. Or the tag could be a mistake (which I hope is the case)

    Sakurachi November 16, 2016 4:11 am

The definition of Tragedy (at least to those who major in theater and literature) is an event that has a steep downfall that could have been prevented. So, many things that are listed as 'tragedies' nowadays, are not truly tragedies, but just sad stories, and other stories that aren't marked as tragedies but people claim they should be, are just people who complain while being misinformed. .........sorry, I went off on a tangent. you are most likely correct in your assumption that these people marked it tragedy because of an occurrence in the past, or just a sad event.

Question: Why would this be filed under yaoi if they were trans?

    Renchan September 16, 2016 1:02 pm

What? They are crossdressers-men who wears women's clothing.
Trans, are you talking about transgenders? What I know is that transgenders are those who had a sex change like breast implants... right? Or am I wrong?

    Rosen_Mika0218 September 16, 2016 3:56 pm

@renchan yep. Trans are those who already had a sex change.

@DuuItNow he is just crossdressing. So this is still yaoi

I could be wrong but a cross dresser still maintains their given gender. They're just dressing up. A transgender is typically someone who is transitioning and has transitioned genders. Biologically, they are one gender but they self-identify as another. There are some who are pre-op(erative), post--op(erative), or non-op(erative) which means some plan to have surgeries, some have had surgery, and some that haven't had surgery or some that don't plan on having surgery. Some opt for hormones, some don't.

As for whether it is crossdressing or transgender... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ but based on this chapter, they seem to be working as a woman, not sure what they do in their off time.

    DuuItNow September 16, 2016 11:13 pm

I was just wondering since everyone was addressing them as 'she' when this is marked as yaoi. If they were a trans woman, this would not be yaoi at all. Also: gender and sex are two different things. Sex has to do with things such as genitalia and chromosomes. Gender is completely different. There are also people who identify as non-binary or gender non-conforming who use 'they' pronouns.

Long story short: I was just wondering why people would refer to them as 'she' since it is categorized as yaoi.

Isn't it obvious that 'she' should be used? I always address male-crossdressers as 'she', I feel like they would want to be respected and addressed accordingly to their appearances of choice. Why dress as a female if you want people to still call you a 'he'?
Moving on from that, addressing someone as something doesn't change the fact that they are still their original self, which means Akitsu-san is still a man. So why not 'yaoi'?
(Talking a bit more on this, loving your male self and still cross-dress is totally understandable too, it's shallow to think that someone cross-dresses because they prefer the other sex over their own. If anyone has this kind of thinking pattern, they are no different from our mailing boy in the story, lacking knowledge and all).
I'm not sure what are you stuck at but things seem pretty natural for me haha.

    DuuItNow September 17, 2016 5:54 am

But just because a man crossdresses does not mean that they want to be referred to by 'she' pronouns at all. If they were a trans woman like other people in the comments theorized, this would not be considered yaoi as they would be female and not a male since yaoi is boy x boy. They could definitely be gender fluid, but I'm not sure.

    Ruri Ruri~ September 17, 2016 2:44 pm

@DuultNow I think that in the original text, the pronoun used was gender neutral. Its common in japan. But since this was translated into english and english doesnt have any gender neutral pronouns. So as not to spoil the main characters assumption (that the crossdresser was a man) the translators decided to use the pronoun "she"

That is just what i think tho, i could be wrong :)

as an agender person myself who goes by they/them and knows others who go by they/them, it can be singular. you can even google it.

    DuuItNow September 23, 2016 11:43 pm

People use they/them as singular pronouns all the time. As Jamie said: some people who are non-binary, agender or gender non-conforming use they/them/their.

But then we'll know that THEY is somehow special, right?? Cuz if you refer yourself as they/them then you're non-binary.. And the translator wouldn't want us to know this beforehand.. (Tho it's not hard to guess that it's turning out this way lol)

So nice to see the uke pursuing the seme first instead.
