Y'all PLEASE read the novel, it's complete at 27-28 chapters and its so good. There's some changes to the story in the comic that's in the novel, and that makes the story even cuter! When the comic is done I know that both the comic and the novel are gonna be in my comfort re-read list. It's so stinking cute
I love this manga so much, and I love the novel too! I wish there was an extra in the manga about her ex who stole her work in her previous life, that would've been hella satisfying. I know a lot of y'all aren't quite happy with what happened to the boys, and tbh me too, but I feel like this is a way more realistic take than a lot of the isekai out there. Not every "good" person gets a happy ending. I do agree it's sad af tho. I know the novel didn't expand that much on their stories, which is why the manga probably feels the same atm, but I'm hoping with the manga going for longer we can see more of the after story fleshed out!
Other thoughts I wanted to get out there while I'm here after my millionth reread haha:
Our FL behaved in a way I think I would as well - basically cutting off any way she could be in contact with the "heroine". Like, I would love the idea that I would be like the badass FL's in other stories, but while I can stand up for myself, I highly doubt I would be that insanely confrontational in reality. Plus, I would have the same fears about being forced to act in line with the game. As the title suggests, Pia's a little too timid for me to fully relate, but I'm more of an introvert, so I can vibe with her well. Plus she's a STEM girly, we gotta support.
The fact that ML believed her from the start was a miracle in itself, considering that a bunch of the people out there didn't believe him about the cookies when HE HAD ACTUAL PROOF. If he struggled with being believed while being pretty politically powerful and having proof, there's no chance Pia would've been believed by others based on a "vision", so I totally understand her not telling others. Do I wish she tried to warn Erin? Heck yeah, but I get why she didn't.
I love a good regression story and it feels a lot more slice of life, which is totally my jam so overall I do like it!
Things I don't like:
- how the kid FL is written. Adult her was cool, so the fact that she's just a straight up 1-D character who just looovveeessss the ML is annoying. I seriously hope she moves past this crush and they actually get together as successful adults who find each other again. I hate the trope of the FL just waiting for scraps from the ML while providing endless love, and it's even weirder it started with girly being 5 years old.
- the FL's parents! Something seriously bothers me about the fact that the parents are all besties (or at least the ML's dad was first), but in the previous life it just seems like the "in-laws" didn't care at all. Yeah, I get all the stuff about not catching each other before they died, but there's no way you're going to tell me they did not run a background check on the ML when he was a working adult and find out who his parents were! AND he was forced to work late on his parent's death anniversary only to be asked to marry their daughter!! He had no idea they all knew each other!!! All of the parent friendship stuff rubs me the wrong way. Not to the point that I can't read the story, but the first part of the story was rough for me to move past.
There are a lot of loose ends that I'd like to see closed, so I still am going to continue reading. I will be upset if our FL gets no character development either.
Idk, I kinda wanted at least a bit more of groveling/chasing on Andante's side. Not saying Hyoseop is gonna take him back in the next chap because idk, but it's kinda the vibe I'm getting - that the resolution is gonna be hecking fast. I read the spoilers for the whole thing way back when this was first getting released, and the story was fun and stuff, whenever Andante pissed me the fk off, I was kinda reassured knowing he was gonna suffer from regret and stuff towards the end. Plus I feel like a solid regret/grovel/chasing arc is super rare in yaoi, so I was kinda hyped to see that. I had heard from other readers the grovel/chasing arc got too lengthy in the novel, so I figured it'd get shortened a bit, but I feel like we're zoomin to the end haha

Why did it get so serious all of a sudden? Maybe I need to reread, but I don't recall Mimi ever getting seriously scolded on the page for any of the hijinks she's been up to before. iirc, the general plot line for every arc is there's some situation, Mimi thinks of some crazy solution, chaos ensues, and then all's well that ends well. Like, they mention needing to scold her, and I think Aida does on occasion, but that's always come across to me like the "scary instructor" comedic trope since those scenes are so brief if not described in passing. Maybe cause this has always been so lighthearted a read, I can't take this new plot line seriously haha. As long as they don't change our girl's personality, I guess I'm fine with whatever direction this goes? Guess we'll see
