What a disappointment; the story was so beautiful until the author completely ruined it. I wanted to see them living a married life together—maybe adopting a child—but instead, he just piles on trauma after trauma. It wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, I dropped the series and have no intention of ever going back. It’s a shame, because it used to be one of my absolute favorites—a real comfort read.
Ch 40:
If the person who has been by your side from the start—the one who protects you and whom you love—tells you not to trust someone who entered your life later, you simply accept it and don't trust that person. You do this even if they don't give you the reason right then, because they likely have a valid reason they can't share—perhaps because knowing the reason itself could be dangerous.
The protagonist is an idiot.
Seriously, it's unnecessary drama; I'm not reading this anymore.
Maybe I'll come back once there are over 100 chapters, but until then, I'm giving it a 1.
