A nice story if you have a lobotomy, as in, genuenly missing your frontal lobe in its entirety. There are so many gaps, skipped developements and narrative hypocrisies you have to brush over in order for the message the author is trying to push to work. The "misunderstanding" is not really a missunderstanding at all. The top just IS a rapist asshole, but wait, he's a rapist asshole with a self justifying mindset for it (shocker) that had a (mildly at best) troubled childhood-ish.
If you only want to turn your brain off for smut or enjoy rape, this is for you. If you are looking for any type of narative, or even a satisfying groveling ark, don't bother. Any type of character development towards a redemption is hid behind a 1 year timeskip, after which ML is magically a better person
Let me do you a big favour. The dogshit love triangle ark with the uninteresting Norman starts at about chaper 30 until chapter 80 when the main characters story resumes. I would say reading from chapter 80 really is worth it, cause we get a nice recap of the main relationship from black hair guys pov, and the author has improved their writing a lot, so its SO much more cohesive than the early chapters. Also get a good ammount of cute scenes of day to day dating life between them... which i would have hoped season 2 would be focused on... instead of.. you know... an asspull love triangle with characters i have 0 investment towards

I fr love when an actual writer makes an AU because the characters still act 100% like themselves, just a different setting. 90% of AUs are usually "here's my OC, I named him *popular character*", but in this, it still feels exactly like them
