so apparently I think they [scans] didnt add the sides couple in order to not confuse the readers. i think. because in the raws you can see the side couple story. it's a good and bad thing to not include it since it makes it easier to understand the main story but at the same time it would be better to add the side couple story labeling it as a side story [the side story is very likeable] since it is part of the authors work so... maybe the scan group will add them later. idk. but overall I do wish to read the side couple story cause it's interesting to watch and read.

Also we should all be glad and thank the scan groups that work on this. cause when I read the raws. omg i was confuse! Cause the side story intertwined with the main story and the backflashes. omg omg omg. Be grateful to this scan groups {Sweet Indulgent and Mystica}. That they put their focus to the main story. in my pov when reading the chinese raws as a nonmandarin speaker/learner, one chapter is the main story, click next chapter, boom backstory [confuse look], click next chapter, main story?, click next chapter, boom side story [confuse look].... well at least thats what happen to me when i read the raws. not that im making it sound negative. it just how i can explain the feeling I have felt as I read through the raws trying to make sense of the backstory, main story, and side stories by look at the characters actions and expressions.

Actually I am kinda confused when I try to read the Raw. Since they don't put the side story in the translation, so the Chapter order is kinda different (￣∇￣") i hope wecomic or someone will translate the side story after this one complete though.

If this story has ended and still confusing then it is appropriate to call it awful. But it is not even finished yet. Sometimes it is hilarious how easy some people says it is awful writing based on bits only.

If this is based on novel then.... the peak of shen yu hate to wang ye is not reach its peak.... there are more drama ahead... and probably worse than this. But the mother's death is one of the catalyst as well..

Yes.. So if I am not mistaken from what I read, Wang Ye realize Shen Yu is from a Clan that has.. Something he need (I forgot) so he keep manipulating Shen Yu to keep him by his side.
Shen yu mother's death somehow becomes one of the breaking point for Shen yu.. And wang ye partially blame for her death since it is all part of his plan or he knows anout emperor plan but did nothing to save her.
I forgot what happened after that... But Shen Yu in the end kills himself with poison which he actually intended to give it to Wang ye.. But he kinda still love him. So Shen yu drinks it and give his finger (his finger is kinda the key that Wang ye need) and died. Wang ye then realized his feeling.
But dont worry thats not the end. After that there is a redemption arc for wang ye and sheng yu kinda get his own revenge. Hahaha and i think sheng yu got his voice back later...
