I honestly don’t know how to interpret the ending… I also think Rokuto kept on jumping from host to host and probably got help from the other leech. But the last panel of him looking like Nanami?? I don’t think he got so depressed that another leech tried to manipulate him by looking like who he desired the most (Nanami) coz they could tell by smell immediately that he’s one of them. My hot take WAS that Nanami is an alien himself which would explain why Rokuto never tried to eat him and that he initially took this form for the guy in “his memories” that Rokuto then took shape of. He also said that they are both not human and maybe meant it in the literal sense. That might explain why Rokuto was “defective” and ended up refusing food as he tried to become a human from the memories of another non human… BUT Nanami had a Navel and was found dead so it’s not adding up T-T
I read all 64 chapters in one go and was so surprised about all the comments of people being disappointed with the current story but I guess if you wait 10 days for a new chapter it feels like it’s just dragging on :/ if you read it in one go it feels well paced (at least for me) and i feel like there was great progress in the story … him slowly getting memories back while realizing how much he has actually lost and struggling with the new medication and hallucinations is pretty well portrayed. I can completely understand how he feels powerless in his situation with lister while still rejecting him with every fiber of his being

I can’t stop thinking about the end of chapter 13 when Guwon threw up after the kiss and talked to his own reflection in the mirror in the third person as if the body didn’t belong to him… maybe that’s simply what he meant with it made him almost gag to kiss someone who is like a dog to him? coz I’ve been waiting for him to end up not being human or having stolen the body, also coz of all the stitches at his neck and feet
yk, i do think he is not human too because i reread the whole chapter and MC describes his body temperature as cold and notice how his eyes shine the same as the maggot that he killed when ML brought MC to the cliff to look at the boulder and how he mentioned the stitches on his neck

omg you’re so right! I never noticed how it’s being highlighted that they clearly have the same eye color… Also saw the part were ML says he can’t remember his past, which fits the non-human theory a lot (although it’s questionable if he’s lying to MC or not)
I think I really need to reread this now that we know more about how the story develops
