I agree with other comment. Try reading the novel. If I remember correctly they have no sexual contact until they confess their feelings. That why I don't really like the manhwa. The changes are really unnecessary. The world building in the novel is also way better.

I’m honestly so ready to find out why the king left the throne, but on the topic of the Duke, in the beginning he was really possibly me off cuz dude was always dragging the king places and forcing himself on him. And that’s literally not okay in any scenario whatsoever. But once you get towards the updated chapter he starts to I guess distance himself from the king and basically just watch his to grab information. And both the king and the grand Duke find out that there was this whole misunderstanding between them due to the game interfering with the kings life.

Yes, that is also my theory. They could have used to time to explain the world and improve the side characters. It also is so much more rewarding to see them finally come together. The sex scene has much more weight to it because it was a slow build up.
This was one of my very first BL Manhwa I came across back in 2018 when I was 19? and I remember I hated that shit and pointed out my opinion in the comment section on how I hate this Manhwa, and I remember the fan were pissed and they were attacking me and telling me “you clearly don’t have taste” I’m so glad people come to realisation and accepting NOW that this Manhwa is A$$

I actually put it in my fav list back then, but then later i reread it and didnt understand why.. i guess when you are new to BL you don't see clichés everywhere, everything looks new and interesting
