Nidome No Koi (hidaka Shoko)
What a funny manga, with the strange Fujiwara only having eyes for types not typically grouped into the handsome category, and yet he’s with Karahashi. On the other hand, Karahashi did undergo a transformation since school ended and no longer looks to Fujiwara’s standards. Fujiwara does defend Karahashi and it is sweet how Karahashi in turn reverts to his former looks for Fujiwara. Read 15/04/15

Ashihara radiates with beauty but what rolls off his tongue are words that come off as mean. When he meets Murakami, he uses cocktail drinks to snatch up his prey but soon realises that this meek businessman means more to him than he thought, being the only one to make him feel all these new emotions and making him go out of his way for a guy described as not being anything special except for being honest. By the way, I never really met anyone who hates movies with a passion so that was new for me. As for poor Tamachi, being thrown aside after getting married, hehe the three guys sure are all self-centred in their own way. It’s a joy to read about how Ashihara and Murakami open up their hearts to each other. Read 15/04/15
Ano Koro No Mama De Ite
Oh my, I want more, this was just the beginning of something special – why do I torture myself with one shots? Nonetheless, it was cute. Read 15/04/15
Anohito To Nitenai Kuchibiru
All but his lips, Ryuusei appears identical to his father. Growing up, he has discovered that to capture Kaji’s heart, he must first claim a bigger place in his heart than Kaji’s first crush, which so happens to be his father. Meanwhile Kaji indeed can’t get over appearances and uses a scarf for such ill-intentions. As the story progresses, I’m satisfied with the outcome as Ryuusei’s desire, “you can’t live on without my lips” becomes reality. Haha, all they could say was “The sea was really pretty” when they came back from vacation.
Now, that last story was the real star out of all other stories. The tattoos on Rin and Kouki were beautiful and revealed a real killer of a bond between them. Kouki wasn’t a mere office worker to be messed with and the real meaning of not being able to live with the other holds truest for this passionate pair. It’s no cutesy story and instead stands by a romance that allows them to trust each other with their lives. Read 15/04/15
Apron de Choushoku
This feels like finding the princess through a glass slipper except the princess is sempai and the glass slipper is an apron. Takano offers Shirakawa the job to be his housewife after he’s fired from his first class job and their sempai-kohai relationship changes. I enjoyed how Kishibou (Master) would constantly intervene, like a fairy godmother, bestowing wisdom and knowledge to push this couple in the right direction. Also, I was very pleased that Takano got a taste of life as housewife, haha role reversal. Read 15/04/15
Ashita mo Tanin
Ryousuke is such a diligent housewife. He pampers Akio so much that Akio doesn’t know whether to be happy or upset over the whole conundrum since Ryousuke is his unrequited love. Arguments break out and Murono steps into the picture. As Aiko wants to pull away from this hopeless love that didn’t have the chance to blossom, it becomes clear to Ryousuke that his tendency to care for Aiko’s every need isn’t based solely on friendship. In all this, Murono is in no way the villain, I found that he knew when to step aside and even supported the couple with the naked apron suggestion. He’s a bachelor in need of a story of his own. Four years passed since childhood friends, Kyouya and Motoharu, last met and now they’re reunited during the welcoming of winter with the Karatsu Festival. Yet these festive times has a way of lifting spirits and creating opportunities for misunderstandings to clear up while the community join to rejoice in festivity. Soredemo, Yasashii Koi o Suru
This has been wonderful throughout, and I found that it tied the loose ends for Doushitemo Furetakunai. The story that unfolded was equally beautiful, showing how Deguchi and Onoda overcame obstacles to finally become ‘steady partners’. Originally, they hit it off as drinking buddies but going beyond that seemed impossible so Deguchi kept his feelings hidden in his heart. Painstaking as it was, he eventually figured that he had a chance seeing as Onoda could fall for a guy. But as feelings are made aware of, Onoda senses that his nice guy façade slipping as his own feelings strengthens. In all its brilliance, I can’t get the scene of “You can start touching me wherever you want to” out of my head, it’s one of a kind. read 19/04/15
Doushitemo Furetakunai
Doushitemo Furetakunai is a gem of a story. It explores two men who interact in a work environment. Soon Shima and Togawa develop a relationship outside of work as it becomes clear they are attracted to each other. But both harbours scars from their horrible pasts.
Togawa made it to adulthood despite the unfortunate events that befall his family when he was a mere child, leaving him emotionally afflicted when it snows. It takes a truly special person to take up his heart and prevent him from leading a lonely man’s life. Shima had his share of hardship, enduring heartbreak while simultaneously treated badly by those around him.
Breaking away from the sadness, I fondly recall countless moments that make them an overly adorable pair. Togawa is persistent in his approach, pushing to have lunch, quitting his bad habits but the best had to be when he took the phone call for Shima. As for Shima, his snappy comebacks paired with his emotionless expression and unsociable ways are quite amusing in contrast to his blushing face.
It made my heart ache when Shima shed tears yet I also felt relieved that he could let out his feelings. I don’t know why the expectation is guys shouldn’t cry, it’s completely normal for all humans to express their feelings and I find it rather unhealthy to keep emotions bottled up. Read 16/04/15
