I'll include the link here but keep in mind it's in Spanish, though a little Google translate fixed that. Figured anyone who wanted to read more of their story could have a go, but it's so cute! https://visortmo.com/library/manga/38441/fubinna-ore-to-kuzu-ouji
I read this one a little while back and it suddenly came to mind and I wanted to check the new chapters that came out, but I can't remember the title. From what I can remember it starts out an island that is used as a military base and where other countries will send their soldiers to train. Our MC has well-connected family on base that insist he works there for a while and so he does as he doesn't have anything else going on and since he can't live up to his brother's(twin maybe?) levels and everyone's expectation. Here he meets the ML(possibly white-haired?) who is crazy, possibly canibalistic, and definitely sadistic and will maim and kill anyone who slightly annoys him. This creates a very toxic obsession of the ML with the MC and leads to the MC literally going on the run and making a new identity to try to avoid ML, who eventually manages to catch up to him off the island. That's where I left off and I'd really like to get back to it. Any guesses?
So... Matthew is colorblind? I'm trying to think if anywhere else in the work we were given hints about it other than the last chapter... Cause that totally took me outta left field... Can anyone else think of anything?
I think the author mentioned it on twitter or something because usually when world building not everything makes it to the story but is relevant in the universe. It’s not mentioned in the story directly that Matthew sees red as green, so he metaphorically confuses the red flag Jin is as a green one. So if you didn’t know it doesn’t take from the story but it adds to the metaphor of the title.
Yes there were subtle hints direct and metaphorically both here and there
In initial episode matthew was told by coffee shop owner to cross road safely, the panels go dark green shades might be matthew pov with the exit sign being green and the title itself might suggest in metaphorically way.
Traffic lights and crossing road were subtle hints, matthew was carrying unconscious jin to hospital in rain, they showed the traffic signal like he couldn't catch and understand it, when jin was shot in ending of season 1 , matthew doesn't get it right away that it was jins red blood. You might find some hints in second reading that was missed
Wish they explored this more!!
