This is such a sweet story with a good, easy pace. The way the characters relate to one another and the way their relationships progress feels right. Nothing is rushed or forced. I'm quite pleased.
It would have been even better if the manga had at least two more chapters to observe the age progression. We do get to see Atsushi as an adult, but we do not get to see the evolution of the relationship. He was still a kid when they began dating, and so as him going through adolescence, there were a lot of things that should have changed. They could have broken up and then got back together because of various issues.

Yes, plus seeing the relationship become physical would be something to see. On how Atsushi grows from the kid he is to a older teenager is a big change not just to Atsushi physically but emotionally as well. The two to three extra chapters would have been nice to capture all that. XD

even though the subject is serious, I like how lighthearted the manga is. mother who tries and fails, meguru trying to guide someone younger than him also the high schooler who is trying his best in the only way he knows how.

I beg a differ. It's not that none of them found happiness. It's more like they are all insecure like Rei. I can proudly say Rei and Asahi are both happy beig together. The problem is that the insecurity is still there because Seita is pbviously still in love with Asahi and Asahi still doesn't know it so his obliviousness is what causes Rei to be insecure.
Isn't it Reí and Sei fault for leaving Asahi in the dark. He obviously wanted them 2 tell him. But they kept silent forever and that's how it ends.
When Reí picked the drunk Asahi, he went missing only to end back being with Seita. Why did he go back? And Reí just let him stay the night over there.
How can they all be happy leaving things like that between themselves without resolving it. Better they end up in a threesome I say and get it over with LOL then all of them would be happy. The Mangaka didn't gave the best of ending as if giving up on the story. Might think "Hey, let the readers decide the rest..."
