I feel like maybe because this was made as a short story, I just couldn’t really grasp the emotions or the story it was trying to deliver. I think it would’ve worked better if it were written as a slower-paced story, with more poetic and emotionally evocative imagery and descriptions.
It feels too rushed, like it’s just “oh, I want to make a mellow fantasy story, but I want to make it quick.” And honestly, that makes it kind of cringe. It’s like a story that should’ve been packaged slowly, carefully, and thoughtfully, but instead was thrown together carelessly.
Honestly, I didn’t really get anything from it.

I mean, like, I feel like ukes with pretty faces and skinny/lean bodies should have their own tag. I think it’d also make things more convenient for readers.
