If I’m not mistaken, I think he broke up with his gf just to try to end up with Haru. And then provoked Soudai for no reason. I think he might have actually not like Soudai and those emotions tied into his feelings for the Haru. It was a bit sus to me that he could move on so quick from his gf to Haru.
