Same. I thought I knew what was happening but I’ve been confused the last couple of chapters. Like, why did he expect the ml to smell like wood and was surprised it was musk? Does he only remember (wood or musk?) from France? Or does he remember one of the scents from his time as a rut partner too? And, er, why are they suddenly happy? Is that it - they together now?

Hi! I’m gonna explain a little, the manhwa kinda don’t explain or just say things in the passing so it’s easy to get lost.
First, ji an do not know in the beginning that ml was his rut partner, because every time they sleep together, ji an was wearing a blindfold and the room was always pitch black, so the only thing he remember clearly was the heavy Musk pheromones. Now, when he meet the ml he only can smell wood, because the ml use perfume and air fresheners with wood scent to camouflage his pheromones, in the novel they explain that, going around parading your pheromones (alpha or omega) it’s rude (remember when haneul released his pheromones in the car and the ml opened the window, it’s because it’s rude to release your pheromones and the ml was annoyed by them)
So, since mc remembered that his rut partner smelled like musk and the only this he remembers from Paris it’s the same musk scent so he was sure the ml was neither his rut partner nor the one from Paris. So here, when they had sex and the ml released his pheromones (musk) the mc realized that he was the one from Paris and his rut partner.

Did you read the story? because that novel was just a small piece, it's all about his aunt and the fact that she was threatening to hurt Dohu, this is why Juheon disappeared and is trying to keep a distance... and angst is not forced, it's really well written... but you need to read with understanding

I’m sorry but are we being serious right now like did we all just completely forget about his backstory which is quite important it’s not just the fact mc did that but the fact that he thought the mc was the only one he could trust especially with the way people treated him before and then to feel betrayed by the mc actions like these type of comments are irritating like I’m seeing people saying oh how do u mischaracterise the ML but the author isn’t literally through the story we have an understanding about the ML and his issues like yeah the angst may not be fun right now but come on now

LITERALLY like people need to go back and read this manhwa again cause some of these comments no offence but y’all sound dumb like im actually getting annoyed by them like a lot of people must have been so consumed by the fluff and smut in the story that they completely forgot about the complex parts of the story and now just saying nonsense

I definitely am, and I understand that the above happened with the aunt and having scars and all that, but like he's still upset about the writing thing too no? Or maybe he's not...and if that's the case then yea I must have skipped a chapter cuz sry I didn't put the pieces together but if he is...then I guess we'll just agree to disagree.

If you cannot grasp the fact that Juheon has a life trauma of being used by everyone, and that everyone always came to him because they wanted something from him... and for the first time when he trusted someone, Dohu, he opened his heart for him just for it to turn out that Dohu also approached him just because he wanted to gain something from Juheon... then you only proved that your reading comprehension skills are rock bottom, because it's not about that 'novel' at all, it's about betrayal itself and triggering Juheon's life trauma

Trauma doesn't mean I have to excuse his actions or the way I feel about the overall flow of the story? Again, agree to disagree. If that means I have rock bottom reading comprehension to you, so be it.

And here is what you clearly don't get, because there is a difference between excusing and understanding, noone is saying that both of their actions are correct, that's called angst, you can not like it at all, but the fact that you're reducing the entire importance and complex content of the series to a 'novel', because I take that's all you took from these all seasons, only shows that you're a shallow reader, so yeah... agree to disagree
