As I like Zed, I'll try to blind myself and think that this is all staged as well for those that might have seen (aka the prince or the duke). I mean, the Duke would definitely underestimate our girl even more. And we knows that he won't feel the need to assassinate her if he doesn't see her as threats.
(Also, they somehow did say goodbye for a while in previous panel so I guess right now is the moment between their reunion, and they both knows, HOPEFULLY)
Villain’s side are bad. Protagonist’s side are good kind of story.
That’s still somewhat good. Eventhough there is no depth about morally grey mindset as reality, the villains are quite smart and play a good game against MC.
On this regards, it's refreshing. I'm so use to everything being "easy" for the MC that this feels good. I know she will win in the end so no surprise but at least, there is real threat et sh*tty situations MC ends up in.
