This wasn't the perfect manga ngl, I stuck through for the setting and art, but I'm super glad I did. This is... surprisingly well-written

I like that the misunderstanding stems from a failure in communication but the ml still knows the mc well enough to understand that he loves the ml, the issue was more their insecurities. The first few chapters were frustrating because I couldn't understand why the ml was somehow both great at understanding the mc yet misunderstood the mc's intentions for getting a job but it clicked after reading the last chapter from the male lead's pov. The issue was a combo between the mc's inability to communicate and the ml's insecurity so he couldn't see that the mc's was thinking more in a "self-determination" way with his manga instead of a "how to save up money to skedaddle" kind of way. The mc is good at expressing emotions nonverbally, so the ml knows that he's loved but there are some things that need to be communicated verbally such as intentions and actions.

Actually what got my heart the most was the way the author constantly showed us why the ml feels so loved, and it's right under our noses until the last chapter. We see the mc's pages filled with sketches of him, we see him take care of the ml's needs, and we see how the ml appreciates all of these things.

The mc is honestly a more unreliable narrator than I thought was possible for manga because we see what he's doing but ngl he fools us into thinking he's not that great too until that last chapter where we learn how the ml fell in love with him and it's because the mc being able to see past his facade and how considerate he is even when he has no idea how to make curry lol

Actually lastly I really liked the little disconnect between how the mc felt his world kind of shatter learning that his manga was discontinued and how the ml reacted to the mc being proactive. I feel like that kind of dissonance between what happens in our minds and how we react does cause similar misunderstandings where someone may like the resulting action but it doesn't come out of a good place mentally. And the manga artist friend was fantastic at giving tough love advice from a gentle place because of how she acknowledged that it felt sh*tty for the mc but he's living a pretty nice life and can keep at it once he's gotten through the sadness.

Sorry for the long comment this was just a really neatly-packaged story for being a random 6 chapter bl manga and I wanted to talk about it. I also have a hard time speaking and try to show love with actions because I want to make up for it (tho obviously not at this bad of a level).

Honestly that whole last two chapters I was peaking at every panel hoping we don't see cho yujae because I completely agree with everyone our boy needs some time alone and he literally did what you asked. But tbh it makes the most sense since they both did try to get into the same place

Pls leave our hanjun be my dude, he needs some time to sort himself out and get over you

Drag created a topic of Can't Think Straight

He's gone from the biggest douchebag I've ever seen to actually decent and you know what, I respect the character development. I didn't think it was possible, like he was so crappy at the start and what kept me reading was the funny characters. But now I'm genuinely rooting for them.

All in all, a pretty fun read of a story

Drag created a topic of Comes In Threes

Honestly at this point I want a 4th person to get in here and whisk him away but knowing bro's luck, this manhwa would just end up being "Comes in fours"

Ngl how on earth do fl and ml have such completely different memories of each other, I'm hooked because I need to see what happened there

I love author's notes, this one was very cute and detailed but come on why am I sharing an mbti with the deranged guy

I can't get over them both going like "huh, he's weird" when one of them is just an apathetic kid and the other is a whole ass serial killer

I'm staying to see where this goes because there's a bit of hilarity to that ngl

"Sh*t, maybe that's where "Anastasia" has been all along" is such a funny line, who let that pass, that's so funny XD

In terms of the non-official tl, oh my god where are we going, bro, taekjoo, you've been had my guy. Feeling very worried but part of me also thinks he has been shady this whole time and you should have noticed earlier. I'm not holding out hope that our boy gets out of this unscathed

Oh my god this one was fantastic. The amount of thought put into it in terms of symbolism and important emotional beats is insane to me and it was a short and interesting zombie apocalypse story. As a wise person once said, zombie apocalypse stories are really about humaity in the face of adversity and this one was too. Beautiful story that's beautifully drawn

You know what, I sometimes see this trope but they try to make it a romance and that doesn't feel right at all. I'm really invested in this one because honestly I feel sufficated just seeing our boy be in that situation, could not even imagine how scared sh*tless I'd be trying to appease some guy while juggling things at home. Rooting for a good ending for him but I have 0 clue how you'd even get to that point

Mostly I appreciate that this is a psychological horror, I am psychologically horrified so it really is fitting the genre

This series has so much emotional depth, I'm a big fan. Everyone is a bit hurt and a bit messed up and they're trying to make it work.

Chapter 34 just kind of cemented that for me because a lesser manhwa wouldn't have had the balls to present the antagonizing female characters like that. They're not cartoonishly evil and they're not even conventionally evil to be honest, they just have goals and different morals and are hypocritical in their own right. The only thing that makes them antagonists to us is the fact that they're against the main character and we're seeing a lot from her eyes so we don't want to see her suffer harder.

Also presenting theo like that is great too, where he's the one who's overly emotional and overly sensetive between him and his brother. I haven't seen many manhwa go over that part of a character's personality. It's just nice seeing presentation like this once in awhile

Also ngl this really uses the lighting to it's advantage and that's one of my favorite stylistic choices. This is a very neatly tied together manhwa

This one hurts to read in so many ways but I want to see where it goes. Ayane is clearly so traumatized from being assaulted and seeing her get forced to live like that is so sad, hoping we see rin at least realize something isn't right, kids are usually a lot more perceptive of their parent's emotions than it seems. I hate thag the guy is forcing her to live with him and confront that trauma over and over again, she needs therapy and he needs to leave her alone.

I read this because I got a kick out of that description and thought it would be a funny read but now I'm staying for the wholesome relationship. You don't often see sex workers featured in these stories and especially not ones where they stay in the industry but that does happen in real life so it's great seeing it portrayed.

Not to say that for everyone sex and feelings can be seperated into two distinct things, but that's how it is for some people. And there's not enough representation of that in stories so I'm a fan of it here

I like how this was executed. I feel like a lesser writer would have made this series purely "plot" but this writer has me super invested in what's actually going on. Like what are the circumstances, why does the ml have that kinda connection with mc, and what's up with the og mc? So many directions this could go, the plot has me more excited than the "plot" XD

Drag created a topic of Teikoku Gunjin no Hanagurui

Welp boys, that was a nice trainwreck to read altogether, can't believe it ended like that but it was funny reading it and being confused together

But anyways, f that guy for just marrying a woman to be married and going off to fight without giving a crap about her. At least she lived well at the house tho so silver lining

Drag answered question about get to know you
I don't know that I'd be considered a fujoshi exactly but I do consume a large amount of romance of all types and that includes yaoi. I had a conversation about this with a friend once, and she mentioned that part of it stems from a very conservative culture where women are discouraged from seeing themselves sensually so it's easier to see men do......
