I only read the first couple chapters, but from what I remember it started off with this girl who works at her family's food stall (or maybe bento place? or a cafe? or a flower shop? ). Anyway, there's this high-spec salary man that comes frequently to cheer up. She likes him fairly well until one day he shows up at her house and asks to marry her, with his bank book of his yearly salary and offering to pay for her college. She of course is weirded out a little and rejects him, but when he doesn't come back to the shop for a while, she asks if they could start off as friends.
The guy is really sweet; he earnestly thought really hard about the proposal, he just lacks a bit of common sense.
Hello! I'm looking for a shoujo manga that's recently been released about a poor high school girl that's struggling to survive because her mother often leaves to be with her newest boyfriend. Despite this constant leaving, she can't bring herself to be mad at her mother whenever she comes back and comforts her. Stuff happens and she meets a group of boys (and one boy in particular) that are interested in her. The main boy, seeing her struggling, says something like, "Use us (our money, connections, etc.) till we have nothing left."
The last chapter I read had her being kidnapped by some older guy who offered her safety and stability, and making her essentially an assistant pimp. After she helped one of his "girls" escape and after a fight, she sees him looking dejected and somehow gets the idea that "We're both just lonely people who don't know how to live. It's like we're soulmates..." So she forgives him and hugs him (again, he's her kidnapper and co-pimp, btw.)
