With so much toxicity going on, i think its better to not choose! Kinda heartbreaking to say that even i like you to end up with cain, but my boy dont deserve pity and rebound like love. About the last part. That already been delt with. Cain originally believed his love was only loyalty but later figured it over his love became romantic hence why he started to ask Jooin to look and consider him too as a man. But yes I think this should lead to them having a break so Jooin can be clear on his mind but I doubt it happen since yahwi keeps interfering with Jooin process to move on
Rebecca is dead, pauliana and the emperor end up together. The emperor change the law that women can inherit their title and power even getting married to a man! But emperor's daughter/son to rebecca still inherit the throne.
