But also, Annette noticed a wall between her and her mom. Both sets of parents understood something was up but couldn't quite "get rid of the problem." Annette's dad walked out on the family and if it weren’t for Henry, Anna's parents would have straight up gotten rid of her. Annette's family may have wanted her because of how much she contributed to the household (and the youngest ones know no better) but I have a feeling they will change their tune about Anna when she uses her strengthening/cleaning magic or even her cooking skills to make that food a bit more palatable.

The parents are still crap (except for the seamstress=MVP) and Henry seems to have stuck to the no contact he put into place so for now, he's still a big emotional turncoat.
