This webtoon has had me on a chokehold for yearsssss. Why? I don’t know! I hated every moment of it and yet I was always here for the weekly updates. I mostly read it to see Jaekyung grovel but I didn’t even get much of that. What a let down >_> this is definitely going on my “never read again” list.
Young Mincheol was naive, yes, but he was sincere. With this new chapter, we see that most of his f-k ups were because he was trying to be a better man for Haesoo. He’s just a kid with no guidance, and the one person he considered a mentor screwed him over too. His feelings of inaptitude will spill over to feelings of resentment towards Haesoo, since he technically took on financial risks for her sake (though really it’s for his sake, since Haesoo is mostly upset she can’t give him what he wants- a family).
Also, I don’t get all the hate for the latest chapters. It’s called background info. It’s alllllll relevant to the story. If yall are hating every chapter go read something else. This is a slow burn so if you’re impatient come back next year or something, damn.
And another thing! This chapter was relevant to the story because if you recall chapter 11, when Mincheol is trying to have a quick-y with Haesoo, she tells him to grab a condom because it wasn’t a safe day and he THREW BACK IN HER FACE that she couldn’t have kids anyway. At the time, it seemed like she was infertile, but this chapter showed that her infertility is a product of her environment (that he himself has put her in) and not a problem with her body, which he forgets about and we, as an audience, didn’t know.
These flash backs show reasons why Haesoo stayed and they show Mincheol’s thoughts at the time, which he’s forgotten.

I’m gonna guess he’s gonna take out a loan using Ari’s name once they marry and leave her with the debt like he did to Haesoo. What a POS
100% that is what he is going to do. I bet Ari is actually on ml payroll like everyone else in Mincheols life apparently.

Sunwha was willing to hear Mokyeon out after everything he put him through. I don’t know if he’s a good friend or not, but it’s something. Also I chuckled at the “my ass is not a dating app for you” (≧∀≦)
What do you men “after every he put him through”? It wasn’t even that bad lol it seems to be a recurring thing since Sunwha said “ you know I hate when you pull shit like that in front of me..” and it didn’t seem like it was a big deal to him since he let him inside. I think the only think that shocked him is that Mokyeon caught feelings. A first for both haha
