I took a long break from here because the site was going through some issues. I just recently started using it again and catching up on my reading (it’s been about 3 years) but I noticed my ‘Want to Read’ and ‘Currently Reading’ lists were empty. Titles that I was in the middle of reading were marked as ‘Already Read’ or not marked at all. The only way I knew what I was reading was because my bookmarks were still intact. The same goes for my tags…a majority of them are missing. Just wondering if anyone else went through the same. Resorting to retagging as I go through my bookmarks.
Here’s an FAQ page on what happened: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21255174/
The Great Reset: Back in late January, a vast load of people descended upon this website. It overloaded the servers causing a massive crash. Much was restored. But unfortunately, the disk that held our lists was irreparable. MGOs developers worked hard, but, alas, they were only able to retrieve your books if you rated or tagged them. Those that were able to be recovered were sent to your Already Read list. You'll have to sort that list as you start to rebuild all your lists.
LOL!! You just missed the great Freak-Out & Cry part of the Great Setback. We still get stragglers like you, but you didn't miss much -- just a lot of tears and frustrations. Since you've been gone for a while, I don't know how much this will help, but I don't want you to miss out on this either, so here ya go!!
Rebuilding Your Lists:
1. Use your previous (old) notifications to add to your reading lists. (This has been tested and works to start receiving notices again.)
2. If you have any bookmarks -- re-add them to your lists.
3. Use any previous comments (topics) you've left on stories here to help your lists.
4. Use your history (clock icon) to add to your lists. (If you see nothing, click the "Show All" link. It may show something.)
5. If you have a favorite author, find a story written by them and start adding the comics listed under their name.
6. If you follow someone look through their lists and start adding them to your lists from there.
7. If you have a favorite unofficial scan group -- use their website to add to your list. If they are defunct then use Baka Manga or another avenue to see what series, they worked on to add to your lists.
Below was created by another user to help save your lists. I use a spreadsheet, so I haven't tested this.

I’ve got 70 pages worth of bookmarks I’m going through right now. My notifications were also reset as well. That was the 1st place I checked after noticing it all the week before last. It’s not too bad though. I get to reread some of my faves that have finally been completed. But thanks so much. I now get why I got a couple of thumbs down. When I left the site in 2022, they were huge rumors of the site being taken down…fights between uploaders and even more fights cuz the uploads were trash…super bad translations… hotttt mess! But my already read has stayed intact…so there’s that.
Yeah, I didn't tag or rate as much as I should have, but I did keep an excel spreadsheet of all my titles, so I just had to add them back to their places. It took me about a week and a half to do it. And, yes, I did enjoy going back and reading some of my favorite parts or chapters as I worked on sorting out my lists.
Don't worry about the thumbs down. Some people just like giving those out. I've been ignoring all of mine, especially since I'm an older opinionated reader whose views often differ with the young'uns. ^_~
You left but the arguments and rumors remained. Although, the arguments have now included officials -- if, where, and when they should be uploaded. I'm on the officials uploads should be rare (if at all!!) side!! (^_^)
Happy Reading!!
…if not real son, then why son shaped? ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
I get both sides of the argument. Tell him he’s an irresponsible ass then bring their mom into it to guilt him into behaving and ol’ boy needs to stop projecting his insecurities onto his “brother”.
