If you put it that way, then yeah. But each scenario reveals a scene from Ijin's past so it doesn't feel tedious when you read it.

Not really. There is a character who is interested in the MC but she does not push it and the MC just sees her as a friend. Also I don't think the MC sees himself as being worthy of a relationship due to his past. May change in the future but nothing right now
