I think Lize doesnt have the ability to love. She grew up being abused by the Sinclair twins when she was suddenly accepted into the Rudwick family and showered with love and attention from every angle. I don’t think she truly loves any of them. She thrives as light in darkness, since Edith isn’t her darkness like in the original plot she cannot thrive as the light. She doesn’t love Cliff nor does she truly love Killian. In the original story she chose Cliff over Killian because she still had both options and Cliff as an option would give her power and control as a Duchess rather than starting over with Killian on his territory. Now that Killian is no longer an option for her she feels a sense of loss that she has less attention on her than she had before Edith came along. It also shows when she is surprised that Catherine was teaching Edith to ride a horse and when Catherine invited her to a party. She knows she is losing attention from Catherine and its making her feel dark rather than her seemingly forever bright. She has thrived on being the light to Edith and the others dark but since Edith is now a growing light, all she can be is Dark.
Okay so i just started this, im on chapter 5 when i comment this. I don’t really understand why Cisne/Siche(idk which one is correct) hates Rowena so much. I mean, yes, Rowena didnt stand up for Siche when nobles were gossiping but to be fair Siche was being a bully towards Rowena. Plus, Rowena even saved Siche from being executed. There hasnt been any negative thoughts towards Siche from Rowena and it seems like Rowena is genuinely nice. I just dont get Siche’s deep hatred for Rowena other that just Jealousy and insecurity. It isnt Rowena’s fault that people don’t like her and its not like she’s telling people to bully Siche. I don’t get why she wants her dead so bad. Can someone explain to me without too many spoilers? Like is Rowena evil or something?
I haven’t read the novel yet but I think it’s obvious since Rowena doesn’t really like Siche. As you saw from the previous chapters, Rowena was always making sure that she was the “good” and “nice” girl from the eyes of others and letting others mistreated and disrespected Siche, she didn’t even do or say anything when she heard the rumor or gossip abt Siche.
Rowena was not really a nice girl, she was always making subtle remarks abt Rowena, like just a typical pick me girl in the manhwa.
All Rowena’s actions and remarks resulted to Siche being villain since she experienced horrible things because of it.
I might be wrong since these are just my observations based on these chapters. But, I personally don’t like Rowena’s character, she pisses me off . I plan to read the novel, it might change my mind later haha

Yeah, from what i got so far, Rowena hasnt done anything mean yet besides not take up for Siche but its not really worth killing her over.
I’ll have to read more to understand better lol. I just don’t like when a FL has a terrible reason to kill someone, yk?
She could at the very least expose her as being not as sweet as she seems but death is too far even if its a fictional story.
It just doesnt look very favorable if im supposed to like the FL.
So far it seems Rowena was fully that our FL was being bullied and abused by the head maid and all the other maids. Rowena even mentioned in chapter one that she was aware of all the rumors being spread about FL and made no effort to correct them. She even benefited from the rumors as they helped with her innocent, delicate, kind facade. Also in past life after FL was imprisoned Rowena was fully aware of the abuse she and her mother were facing from Seril. FL was shown writing letters to Rowena pleading for help.
