I READ THIS THINKING IT WILL BE THE GREATEST READ OF ALL TIME YET IM LEFT UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED.
1. The male lead being ro eun is hella disgusting. They were set up to be complicated step siblings and they end up together? They didnt even have any proper romantic interactions together. Yes they relate and then what more? She avoided him and went with the other two men for help when she was struggling. That alone is making it so difficult to accept him as the male lead.
2. Yeah ok supernatural shit, but damn bro all of it is just sum made up shit that wasn’t properly executed. What does that even mean when jia saw sera in a soap opera and then it being actual reality?? Like cmon man??
3. I would have preferred if no one was the male lead and sera and jia could live as separate successful and happy individuals.
I disagree, this story was written well.
Their characters were kind of representing diff types of mental illness. Maybe u should look it that way?
I know its supernatural and all, but it felt more like the movie inside out and how it ended was like karmic retribution or the consequences of actions
For example with jia han, she was a driving force despite all that she’ve been through, all she wanted was a simple life, owning a house having a cute boyfriend, which she obtained herself. She stayed true with what she wanted
Sera and her ml, i admit her ml was not perfect but who is? He gots his own problem, he lacked footing in his world deciding to go through with the engagement. But he realized sera was the one to sse him for who he is and has supported him. He remembered the little things about sera like being scared of insects. And i saw the disconnection he had with jia,
And for the blonde one, it was shown he had bipolar disorder. He may have been cute but he had his crazy moments. His redemption was opening up to his mom, and by going back to the states could be seen as him proactively treating his illness or removing himself from the environment were he kept being traumatized by the villainess
Then the real villainess despite being born privileged is a psychopath through and through
I dont see roum as the step sibling but more like the protégé, there were no familial connection, who he only really got to know and gotten close to was jia han
Thank you, I will think of it that way. However, idk it just felt so weird for me that ro eun was the male lead (the others were shit too so I dont like anyone actually) maybe if they were more fleshed out I can accept it better? Sigh thank you, I rlly hated how I looked at it and u gave me something good to think about
They were not related AT ALL. Their fathers were business partners. ML's father died and FL's father inherits the whole company without knowing his business partner had an illegitimate child. Then later on when he finds out he brings him home and they kind of grow up together but even then he went to a foreign country to study

Im team brick bro idgaf abt grifter rn
