I gotta say... If youre looking for a read that will make you work your brain cogs and tire them tf out trying to make sense of the shi thats happening, I wouldnt even dare recommend this to you. The characters are top-tier manipulative no one is sane in this story Im probably about to go insane figuring out the dynamics and trope of this story. The road to rainbows and sunshine is miles and miles away
Im glad i dugged my to be read books and found this gem, it was a roolercoaster of emotions from joy to sadness then happiness then sadness all of a sudden. Im glad the side stories gave them a happy ending they deserved
Manifesting a side story for the *ahem* side characters (uncle and big bro)
I have this gut feeling that Yukihisa isnt actually dead
Probably on my nth reread and its still as good as the 1st read
Im glad I let it marinate because Im sure I would be dropping it in the middle knowing how tiring Jo and Ian's set up was. Jo was the perfect kind of second lead that it hurts a lot to see that the love was there and everything but TJ had Ian's love first so it was kinda heartbreaking to see. It probably wasn't easy for Ian as well seeing how he was bouncing from one to the other unable to loosen his grip from the environment he was used to because TJ was there and I guess the same goes for TJ seeing how he only let up his worries when Ian asked him to be with him, away from all the chaos from being in a gang.
Chiwoon and Yangji are such a funny pair tho but I respect how Chiwoon was loyal to TJ as a gang member and right hand man. He knew what TJ wanted and let him have his own peace.
Most tragic character would probably be Jamie, man, so unfortunate. End up with the wrong boss and got his brother got killed and almost end up killing Ian (good thing he has shit aim because he might be suffering hell in TJs wrath worse)
I love how Jo was able to bounce back and enjoy his company and being able to let go of a beautiful memory. This was the best ending for me because most characters got their happy ending although it wasn't the cleanest and most parts getting there was messy, I'm just happy that they got their peace
Would definitely reread
As frustrating as it was, I have to keep reminding myself that this is how frustrating highschool love stories get, misunderstandings and all, they're kids that are experiencing everything all at once with minimal to no adult intervention or guidance so yeah, its as realistic as it can get, I hope their future looks better as well as their communication methods like fr(*´-`)
Is it just me or have I reached the point where I'm getting sick of all the smut for plots, like, I need substance in these stories and I need a good romance without there being a smut every 5 chapters but there is still tension between the characters likeeeee where are all the good slow burns at??? Where's the character development arcs at??
To summarize, I need recos for a good slow burn, possibly enemies to lovers trope that doesn't have ANY or an ounce (if possible) of the bs or red flags
This is actually really good tho like what the helly?? Drama and romance aside, I actually hoped Ivonne would come back in a better state but I feel like that would give injustice to her family and Penelope, I love how challenging the plot was for Penelope especially her relationship with Eckles was the most unfortunate seeing how he had to die a bitter ending even in the end, his love is twisted and so was his ending. I just hope the side stories would be happier and would give a few sneak peeks into the other characters like gives us happiness after all that suffering
A new title to add to my list of reread. Knowing how positively yours was well written and adapted I already knew I would love this series and I absolutely did, if it ever gets side stories I would immediately devour it lmao.
Kind of refreshing to see a childhood sweethearts trope again after a long haul of villainess mc trend
Seeing Mokyeon be in this state is actually really sad because Ive seen it with friends and family and it just breaks me that I can't do much for them aside from talking them out of it because they are too attached to a person that rationalizing with them seems like a mission impossible, their feelings take over and in most cases, them getting of their situation would be your best bet but it always take a while for a person to recover especially from toxic relationships, I feel bad for these characters, delulu is so not the solulu
ayo wdym Side 2: End Fr thought it was going to be atleast a few chapters or so
GAH DAMN FINALLYYYY THE SIDE STORIES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR LEZGOWWWW
