Looking at the comments, I thought this was some sort of tragedy that'd make me cry a ton but it wasn't that bad. I thought I was gonna be blown away by this Maybe I've read so many bls that plot-driven ones aren't new to me
I think this would be better off in novel form or as a manga. I appreciate the lengths the artist went through to capture the narrative through art but I think if it was drawn more like a Japanese manga it would've resonated with me more.
I definitely agree it would’ve been better in manga form but this did come from a novel after all. I just appreciate the pace so much, Maybe it’s because all the bl manhwas I’ve been reading lately are paced so quickly just one point to another that I never got the time to slow down and relax, Enjoy the art— feel the emotions of each panel. Plus reading this with sad music in the background (Best song was Lover, You Should’ve Come Over by Jeff Buckley, ts shit is peaaaak) helped a lot for me, It just resonated so deeply. Maybe it’s because I’ve experienced loss of loved ones before and have been lied a few times by people I call my family, That this really just hit all the spots. I’m glad that I didn’t read any spoilers or have any expectation build up from when I started reading this, It always surprises me when I have absolutely no clue on what I’m reading. I do hope you were still able to enjoy the manhwa to some extent and sorry for just ranting about my feelings haha! This has been like my 4th reread this week of the manhwa and I just found this comment to be an interesting take!

Oh I did enjoy it! Some parts really did tug on my heartstrings. I agree with the pacing was definitely perfect for this kind of narrative but like I said I feel like the quality would increase tenfold if the artistry was like manga-like? You get me? The artist could've used more symbolism, more atmospheric narrative (they did use this but I feel like they could've gone more loose with it), an example on the top of my head would be, momukuren for example, the creator of the summer hikaru died, they're amazing at using techniques like this. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful story. Stories like these should have a kbl adaption. It'd be interesting to see how the directors would use cinematography on this one.

Oh my godd a cinematography of this would be greaaat, I agree as well. I wanted maybe like things/sceneries that are shown that could like symbolize more than one things even if you could only understand it in the korean culture, People would probably still have explained it to the non korean readers. I actually haven’t read the summer hikaru died and its been on my radar for the longest time now even before it had an anime and all that, I just think I procastinated it a little too much but after your comment i might just start lol (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I'm looking for a bl manga it's somewhat similar to "momo to manji" as they both take place in the same era but the uke has strong eyes and is sort of a tsundere and the seme is a demon or some kind. If it rings a bell please answer
