I'm really happy how this story went and that there were no females with romantic feelings towards him. I was sick of reading a great revenge plot and then get bombarded with all these hussies that start blushing at mc's every move and need rescuing. If i want to read romance, i will look for a romance manhwa/novel. There are some action manhwas that have romance and are not horrible, but the author knew how to write those girls and not to exagerate...unfortunately, that's not a lot of them.
Exactly this is the only manhwa that has satisfied me with no harem or romance.... I love this one damn much .. only if there are more manhwas like this with only actions with dungeonsTT

The point is there is never a good action manhwa with good romance. That sht won't ever exists because you can't balance the 2 perfectly coz it just doesn't suit it. Even bl action manhwas are better than those action manhwa slops like solo leveling that ruined the story coz of that one perverted female the likes to sniff sweat. SL is the sole reason why i started to hate action manhwas with little to full romance coz it ruined the hype and "action" in it smh （￣へ￣）
Nahh I gotta disagree action + romance absolutely can work, it’s just that a lot of action manhwas write romance badly or turn every girl into harem bait. I already like romance and action separately so naturally my ideal story would have both without sacrificing either. I do prefer romance as a subplot over it becoming the whole genre tho.
Coming back to this comment over a year later, I’ve actually found some great examples lol SSS-Class Revival Hunter, Ending Maker, Doom Breaker and Legend of the Northern Blade all have good action while still having an actual romance that doesn’t completely take over the story. SSS literally has a whole romance arc and still keeps the main plot/action intact, Ending Maker has both leads actively involved in the adventure while their relationship develops alongside everything else instead of sidelining the plot, Doom Breaker has the relationship tied into the MC’s motivation and Northern Blade keeps the romance more secondary but still meaningful.
So nah I don’t think romance automatically ruins action manhwa I think bad romance writing ruins action manhwa. Action and romance aren’t fundamentally incompatible genres. They can work together just fine, it just depends on the execution and what you personally consider a good balance…imo (=・ω・=)

Why do i feel like there's something fishy about that "contract" fl's father mentioned that binded him to the emperor? ..And even though he doesn't deserve forgivenes for how he's been,why does he look so haggard? Is the author throwing some clues towards a big plot twist?

Why do good manhwas with great story like this one get cancelled,but the ones with brain rot writing and unrealistically proportioned females that blush and salivate after the mc at every turn get like 3000 chapters? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Because Koreans are the main market for manhwas and Korean men dig those harem + OP MC stories no matter how shitty and copy-pasted they are. It's also why BL and RoFan rarely get axed-- because Korean women will probably pay their entire monthly salary to keep it going.
Manhwas like this are for the general audience, and that would mean the risk is higher for them because nobody would stubbornly keep buying it unless they genuinely love the story.
A lot of Korean artists/Korean authors probably want to create smth different too but are too scared to risk it or are told by those managing them that it's not worth it, so all they could do is create a copy paste of a typical power up story so they could earn some cash so they.
It's sad af but it's the reality.
