I literally couldn't care less that the author is trying to push for a "misunderstanding" trope. Like the Emperor put HIS HANDS on Yo-dam. There is NO justification.

Exactly, cause I noticed that as soon as they explained how Jin’s view hobbies.But really I feel they still could have just said he was a horrible emperor and the story would still be the same.
