And with her ambitions that just keep growing (not just get a scholarship, but now to win a price as well) it makes it even more likely ┗( T﹏T )┛ plus I remember there was one mutual guy friend who said to another guy friend that if he thinks kadete can really compete with the best of the best. her getting injured or something would be the perfect "excuse" why she did't make it(because she didn't directly compete with them), not until later, when she gets even better (gets on "the best" level).
I can't remember but doesn't she already have scholarship for that school in France? or just permission to attend? if she does have it, that the possibility of her getting injured, screwing up or something increases, because there is already plan B, plus even her coach prefers her to go to France (by thinking she trust the French guy with kadete's training more then that woman from Royal academy who will soon have their individual lessons).

It's most likely "he" is a woman, but I don't know if "he's" the ice queen. It's entirely possible, in fact, I think there's at least an 80% chance of that happening, but I'm a little unsure because we haven't seen "him" in combat yet.

don't you agree that is something only a "saint" should be able to do? their main job in this world is to repel miasma if my memory serves right.
all in all, the evidence that Sei is the rightful "saint-sama" just keep on pilling up. and she has the desire to help them as we have seen with the knights, so when she realizes that she will probably be willing to help them even if the prince and the other girl mess things up. I am curious to see what will happen when they discover the prince screwed up and that girl is not the real "saint". will they admit their mistakes and apologize or will they plot intrigue against Sei and there will have to be a whole power struggle or something similar before Sei will be able to make use of her powers to help?

There is also a possibility that the other girl doesn't know she is not the real "saint" and just loves the attention. I don't know, maybe I am being too influenced by the LN and one other manga I am also reading where MC is reincarnated as the villainess in otome game and all I can say is with a shift in perspective the "heroines" can be very manipulative and self centered, even the embodiment of villainess while still presenting themselves as the righteous ╮(￣▽￣)╭


(unrelated: it really nice seeing Sei with Hawk(≧∀≦) hope they will relay on each other when then unavoidable hard times come and soon became official coupleヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~)

But Captain Hawk an the Prince an the girl who's believed tobe the Priestess was there when the captain almost lost all his men and his Life. Both him and the director of the R&D institute by now are well aware that Sei is the real Maiden-Saintess. Thats why its in their best interest that the captain capture's the Heart of Sei before the Crown Prince figures out he has the wrong one! Remember their world is based on Monarchism where you can never under estimate the ambitions of Men! And its also why they told Sei never to tell anyone of her Powers or abilities! Whoever controls the heart of the Saintess will be the most powerfulest player on the board!

Remember the captain started his sudden seduction of Sei when he saw what happen in the forest. It was so out of character an out of place that Sei herself couldn't believe it!
It is way way to early and to convenient and suspicious the way he just happen to keep running into her when ever she left the Palace I don't believe in the Night on the White horse Crap!

well, you do have a point. if we are looking at this like it was a reality and not shojo, a really good one at that. I am sorry, but I think and hope you are wrong. if you are right that would make this world far more manipulative, psychological and dark. the story would do a 180 degrees once Sei would find out that almost literary everyone she trusts and cares about in this world are just trying to use her as a pawn in their political games. Which is a polar contrast to shojo isekai vibe we have right now. I know there are many manga like that and I have read quite a few of them (that is why I said that maybe I am too influenced by them), but usually the tags indicate what kinda story it will be and the revelation of characters the true colors happens sooner (usually right in the 1st chapter, maybe in the end of 2nd) so the readers know what kind of story it is. or even it it's not reveled that they shouldn't trust anyone, they at least show us the main villain or the person currently plotting against MC. While this manga has no obvious bad characters (if you don't count rude prince who ignores her and a bit suspicious believed to be the Priestess) what so ever. this far along in the story I seriously doubt that kind of change of the heart of the story will happen. we will probably get believed to be the Priestess as the main and a few minor bad guys (one or a few of prince's officials or a nobles) that will be it. it is very likely the believed to be the Priestess will have a bad character and she will even have people plotting with her, maybe even the prince(although I doubt it, he is more likely naive and is being manipulated by her), but I seriously doubt hawk and head of institute are one of them. even the prime minister looks honest. I know - all characters look honest - and that is why it's weird that the believed to be the Priestess wasn't shown at all. it could be because Sei has zero contact with her, but usually when there are 2 people summoned, we get to see what is happening with the other one as well, even if she/he is not MC. that is why I think she will probably be the main villein plus some minor bad guys.

my view of why hawk treats Sei different then other girls is he has a huge crush on her. she saved his life and not only that, but also many of his man. so he wanted to know more about his savior and who would he ask? the man he is good friends with and knows Sei well - his old friend, the head of institute. he told him what kind of person she is and his crush was starting to develop and it grew when he met and spent some time with her. she is probably totally different then other typical teenage girls usually chasing him (the ones who read LN said he was popular but threats all the other girls coldly). so her modest, kind, hardworking and a bit oblivious character was a nice change, add her nice to the eyes look and her saving his life and you get why he would start falling in love with her. and of course when you like somebody you want to spend more time with them. and that is why he was deliberately waiting for her (so they would met more times) and even asked her on a date. oh, and he didn't suddenly change his behavior after the forest, but after saving him. okay, he did get more forward in his showing affections after the forest, but what I want to point out was that he haven't met her before saving him and in forest was his first time spending any quality time with her if you don't count the brief first meeting. before saving him he probably was aware of her existence but that was it. so her saving him triggered his interest and gratitude was the reason he invited her to the forest. there he finally spent some time with her and those emotions started to form something more - he was beginning to like her. and that is why he was going out of his way so met with her because otherwise the most likely wouldn't met except for emergences or on a very few lucky occasions.
and as for why Sei was shocked at how he was behaving I think it was firstly because she doesn't know (hasn't seen) the huge difference in his treatment and maybe mostly thinks that are just exaggerated rumors (when she finds out she often thinks to herself "it's the usual smiling hawk-sama"). Secondly because she had no dating experiences and was not used to someone showing romantic interest in her so that thought never occur to her.

at least that are my thoughts on this topic, but I could always be wrong ╮(￣▽￣)╭

living on the isolated grounds of the Palace not even asking questions anymore.
The middle-ages was called the dark ages for a reason every one was always
scheming an plotting because monachism is nothing but a Pyramid scheme
were even if your the daughter of a Noble the most you can hope for is to
become part of the Royal harem or one if the Princes many wives. I just wish
that she takes her head out of the clouds of her so called hobby and remember
her history and what happen to the last real Saint Joan of Ark. Her powers allows
her to heal any injury a solder may suffer on the battle field which would make them invincible Hawk wouldn't be much of a military leader if he didn't take advantage of
her ignorance an naivety!

She is from the 21-st century just like you and me she needs to remember why Monachism has been abolished and that its a corrupt and flawed system that only benefits the ones at the very top.

I agree with you that she should be more self aware, use her head a bit more and try to learn more about how things work in this world. and I also agree that Monarchism was a shitty system and we are better off without it. But this is fantasy. And a shuojo one at that. which means it mostly focuses on love and not heavy subjects. and in cases like this, romanticizing the whole middle ages era. why do you think most fairy tells have princes and princess who are all good? because people like to escape reality and replace it with something nicer. the same goes here. there will be some bad guys as always because we need an antagonist to our protagonist but this is not the kind of story where every character will deliberately mess with MC mentally or betray her in some way. if it were then there would be tags as seinen or at least shounen, physiological or something along those lines. And as I said before all manga show the heart of their stories in their early chapters - that is to attract the "right kind" of reader. this manga is the kind of mostly fluff story people read to cheer them up and not dark realistic one that takes us to the deeps of human nature.

If you ask me it probably was common folk who started those fairy tails telling their children stories to not lose hope that someone good would one day come and rescue them from their suffering. It probably was the best a parent can do in such a time
period but to make up such bedtime stories so their children wouldn't despair!

Well you cant have a fictional story without adding in some realism otherwise its un relatable. Taking someone an flinging them back into the past an not having them use their knowledge to their benefit is insulting to the intelligence of the readers!
I really love Fantasies but don't make it too fantastic to enjoy!

Oh I'm enjoying this I really am when an authors work forces discussions.
whether its based off fiction or truth, I think that means they were able to draw
in the readers. I don't always have too like all the choice's that characters chose
too or do not chose to make to enjoy reading or following a manga to its conclusion.

I love all kinds of another world settingsლ(´ڡ`ლ) guy into a girl or vice versa? becoming a different species or even an object? makes no difference to me, I read it allヾ(☆▽☆)
seriously, I am now on my 3rd list of this kind of manga and manhwa(over 500 if you would combine them), so at this point my love for this genre is clear(≧∀≦) well there are historical and virtual worlds or just fantasy also on those lists, but I another world manga is dominating them all(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
