Any alternatives to booktoki? I was at chapter 375/532 of a novel there, but the site was gone as soon as I came home from work .
iPhone has the “translate page” option, which I use on every single Korean novel on booktoki, but it doesn’t work on kakaopage,,,,
I’m willing to pay on a site like ridibooks, but this novel is only on kakaopage, which is extremely tedious to translate/mtl on iPhone. I had to screenshot 15 times and then translate the photos just for a single chapter…… seriously made me go insane.
If you’re curious, I was reading Second Life Idol’s Lucky Plan (인생 2회차 아이돌의 럭키플랜). It has like 1011 chapters, but booktoki only had 532 uploaded. I was fine with that, but dude… I just got off work and I feel like I was shot 29489292 times . My booktoki… my one true love….

Everyone hating on Yuhan here while he’s lowk acting like every fmc in other stories . Like yeah… u randomly get transported into a story and now you have to live your life there. You literally can’t see it as the real world because u have hacks and everything. There’s so many scummy, narrow-minded mcs, but they get a pass because they’re the mc.
If you look up the Korean title (in alt names), you can see there’s 46 chapters available, just in Korean.
this was such a refreshing lead.
Everyone can communicate in a way without problems, and there’s so much trust involved. The characters are expressive and know how to show emotion.. waowz…. and the ml isn’t trying to one-up everyone (including mc). Like,, mc can interact with people (men included) without the ml getting upset or filled with jealousy. That’s just something I wish was in every story. And she’s strong with a good ego, not afraid to show it.
It’s honestly a really nice story with great art. I really liked mc with her og hair, but plot is plot. Hair color change does make sense, and she’s still a cutie. (I also really liked her shorter hair,,, after it grew out a bit). Mc reminds me of a cute puppy too,,
translation fights r fun until you’re trying to click next chapter, and then it sends you into an endless loop of the same chapter….
I skimmed like 3 random chapters cuz the comments were all in despair… and I get it. Uughfhhg both red and white hair are there and I see the appeal to both….
and then u have black hair red eye guy…. unfortunately, I think I know how this is going to end…
this sounds like a funny series with a silly trope, but I’m turned off by the harem tag and comments…
lowk Japanese authors know what they’re doing but they also know how to make me agitated as hell.
This story was so silly good though. and the ml is so nasty horny, i had to put my phone down several times while reading
I like mcs relationship with the 2 mages + her escort the most in this story. probably cuz she’s the most relaxed with them, so I got fond of it. They all genuinely care for mc and make mc aware of it, enough where she has her own confidence/family ideas.
With the dad, mc doesn’t really view him as one. Despite how the readers view him, he’s really just a guy to her. Not a dad with a close bond, or the father that stepped up… he’s just someone that spared her life. Yes, he does do stuff behind the scenes, but how would the mc know that. And given her past treatment + future knowledge, what’s she supposed to think after finding everything out?? If u threaten + shun someone out for so long, u can’t expect them to immediately accept u, especially an abused/neglected child.
There’s the saying that “everyone deserves a second chance,” but that really only works if the victims/circumstances allow it. Like, no shit it’ll probably happen later on in the story, that’s how a lot of these stories end up. I just think the author handled the dad’s whole situation poorly, both the problem and solution.
And the crown prince… I just think of him being “there.” You could tell the direction of the story with his first appearance. Lowk, I thought he was creepy for his first few scenes. And afterwards, I just thought “ah… he’s back again…” every time he reappeared. I know he’s the lead, but I just never felt good lead energy in this story LOL
This is a fun read. I was hesitant to read when it first got released due to the reviews, but I’m kinda glad I let it marinate. It is a teaching story with students. You won’t see romance with them, it’s more of admiration towards mc. And I recommend reading most of it when you aren’t as sleepy bc there’s quite a few lore drops.
