For me, I don't think this manga lived up to its title. It would've make a whole lot of sense if she didn't end up being the "hero's"(Rita's) heroine, thus the title "No Longer Heroine". If they followed the concept of "maybe that person whom you thought is the "one", isn't really the one for you", then I think this manga would've been phenomenal.
Honestly, this manga had a lot of potential since the plot was so unique. Heck, it could've broken all kinds of stereotypes that the shoujo genre has but nooooo, they went with a very typical, cliched ending and it was really disappointing. Call me bitter, salty, or whatever, but she should've ended up with Hiromitsu-kun instead.
It was a good concept but they squandered it by having her get the guy anyway instead of really moving on. It's still something I would like to see. A story from the point of view of the girl who won't get the guy but instead moves on and finds another. Think Kurumi from Kimi Ni Todoke but as the main character. And none of that "he loves her now that she moved on" stuff either.

It gets better than what it seems. :P but the title and concept can be very offputting.
