Both of those places are going to hurt. Rib cage - because there's not a lot of fat and it's directly on your bones. Just pinch your inner arm and you'll see why that will hurt. Honestly though, if that's what you want go for it anyway! It is 100% worth the pain. I just got my third one on the side of my wrist, hurt like hell, zero regrets.
