Polygamy is more common in mammals than in birds, why did the author choose the "bird" land to talk about polyamory? Kinda lazy world-building, 90% of all bird species are socially Monogamous.
Also, I don't like how the character is being used to talk about a polygamous relationship. There should be a counterpart of a different group of characters that are in an actual relationship as consenting adults and be a good example. (Just... Not birds? Some birds quite literally bond for life and will die of depression if their mate dies)
