Is it bad that I can’t hate the ml because right can completely understand him, of course he would thinks eh came to harm him when he was told he really killed her brothers, and obviously he should have believed her but she could have actually have gone there to harm him
I’m not saying he’s a good guy and he should have done what he did but I want them to have a happy ending because he might have hurt her but it wasn’t without reasonable reason, and it literally shows that her brothers ghost followed her so he avoided her.
Spoilers ahead just be aware: essentially she comes from the family that’s been ruining his family for a while now and they were involved in his brothers death in some way. Lily the fl from that family is actually adopted and abused by them and hates them just as much as ml but the ml refuses to listen to her at all. Deep down inside he loves her and come to find out NOVEL SPOILERS:
The aunt of ml forged a letter making it seem like lily was a traitor and spying on him but the novel addresses the fact it was just a letter and he could have easily had that misunderstanding cleared m. My analysis is that he’s so self-loathing and self pitying he doesn’t even want to admit his love for lily and he’s too caught up in his own grief that he doesn’t care he’s hurting her even tho ml already knows
No, I can't hate him either because even if I know trauma doesn't absolve you when you traumatize others, he's still been living under the stress of caring for his land and the Everett family name gives super bad vibes either way
But like bro needs a good 6 months in therapy and to get his crap together before I feel like he should be allowed around our girl. She's been through too much for him to have treated her like that for so long
People like you are the type to sympathize with killers cause like yeah we all get that he's got trauma and he's been through some shit but that doesn't excuse the fact he treated the fl like absolutely dogshit, mind you he's also killed people when he could've just put them behind bars, shipping a clearly fucked in the head guy with our poor fls not gonna make either of them happy in the long run, like would you wanna spend the rest of your life with your abuser? Hell the fuck no, like they can be happy by themselves, single and fucking thriving. At the end of the day his sob story of the background isn't an excuse for being a psychotic asswipe, and he's not in love with her he's just obsessed with her because he wants what he clearly can't have, because if he truly loved her he would have let her go instead to fucking harassing her until she accepts him, that mf selfish asf, He only cares about himself. Periodt.
Sorry but this is so confusing, Like is romeo prince or not and how did he just become Prince. Like if there's a Prince where is the king and whys he allowed this, and why is the original Prince just like walking around. I'm so confused like does this even make sense
Yea , some parts are doesn't make any sense like how the royalty are so hella weak. Romeo ended up being a king because of the revolt. That's how it is normally. The prince is able to walk around because of Rosalyn asking Romeo to put him in Paris' place rather than making him exile. Thou, it doesn't make any sense that he doesn't have any guard when is royalty himself
But like at the end of the day a Prince is just the prince, the king is the ruler so even if romeo revolted how did he just become Prince, what about the king, and even if the Prince is the king which is either a translation or poor historical knowledge fault then why is he never displayed to be a proper ruler - he just spends all day with paris and the fl - and as you said how was he so easily defeated
Honestly one of the best written books I've read on this website, so much symbolism and depth to all of the characters that has me sympathising with and hating all of them love this sm, I also like how the author actually complexes the plot without just trying to please the readers. There are so many up and downs, if anyone is hesitating about reading this please give it a go

Bro I was mad when I realised she was gonna have a redemption arc rather than be brutally crushed but I actually loved it by the end, like her changing completely and her realising how she acted and why it was wrong, deffo a great read. I also like how she properly paid her dues rather than just be let off.
