Watching all of this remembering there’s a camera in the room and Joshua’s workmates are probably averting their eyes in the security room
The foreboding building up in this chapter was so thrilling. My heart is legit still pounding, I love Minyoung so much
The fact that these teenagers are built like absolute brick shithouses is frying me
This story is flawed af but we can at least live in the happiness that they don’t go vanilla after confirming their feelings like 80% of BDSM works
Atp we have already seen all of the, at its most charitable, dubcon with Yuki and Mako at the start of the story but my theory around Yuki being a pos is more related to his reactions to Ryohei, his possessiveness, and the aftermath of Mako being raped.
Mako defenders will reference how realistic it can be to continuously go back to an abuser, etc. but what isn’t realistic is YUKI’S reaction in that situation. After the second time Mako was raped Yuki being like - oh you’re just too nice- does not make sense unless he’s genuinely a bad person or the author is a hack. A person who is genuinely concerned about Mako’s safety and happiness would immediately make it clear to him that NONE OF THIS WAS HIS FAULT. He should implore Mako to not be alone with this man under any circumstances and make it clear that what happened was not appropriate or normal given that Mako doesn’t seem to feel that way. Yuki is not characterised as a stupid person, if he doesn’t say any of this stuff it’s because he doesn’t care, he is manipulating Mako by allowing this to happen, and/or the author wants an excuse to have Mako gratuitously raped on screen again.
Whenever he does something to provoke Ryohei it falls onto Mako every time. His reaction to his confrontation with Ryohei was to pressure Mako into a sexual encounter in a public place in order to assert his ownership of him. He provoked Ryohei then even though he knew last time he provoked Ryohei it only ended up with Mako being hurt. Yuki initiating intimacy after both rapes is the well worn overwriting a bad experience trope but it is just selfishness on his part to touch Mako in that situation. He doesn’t need to nut stop touching him!!!
Honestly, I think the author might just be kinda ass but if I take this character seriously he actually cannot be anything but a piece of shit who likes Mako but not enough to put his ego aside and keep Mako safe (which is a fine character trait in a fictional character but it had better be acknowledged in the actual story I stg)
If Mako is raped by that man again I am dropping ts. There’s being naive and being fucking stupid - one of them will *surely* suggest Mako bringing a friend next time he confronts the man who has violently raped him twice
Bruh the extra where his friend apologises for outing him genuinely brought a tear to my eye. The fact she took it seriously even though nothing bad happened- I don’t have words for how much I appreciate the author for properly thinking through the implications of outing someone. Thank you author
The “I don’t care” had me screaming, Chaejun is down horrendous (and he is correct to be that way)
Cheol, girl, not to victim blame but you didn’t pick up on him being crazy after seeing all that???
The wine is watered down you can literally see her pour it into the basin of water. She’s not trying to poison him
I really like this couple but there’s clearly so much left on the cutting room floor. Like, Andrew hurting himself for Luke’s attention just isn’t addressed? Andrew’s family never actually comes into the equation. What actually would the fallout have been if it came out that Andrew and Luke were together? Honestly, I feel like the story should’ve (authors health allowing) actually had that happen. If anything, the ensuing scandal could’ve been a jumping off point for Luke’s career, lol. That would’ve been an interesting point of conflict for the couple in and of itself. Luke being a queer actor could’ve been explored in a really interesting way as well but I do think the story is marred a bit being written by a person outside of American culture.
I think cutting the story off at the S1 finale and imagining the rest of the story would be better for me mentally, lmao.
They keep getting hints that they knew eachother when they were kids and they NEVER NOTICE
I genuinely teared up seeing Theor become a father. He really grew so much throughout the story
There can never be enough panels of Kihoon’s eyes rolling back he is so unholy sexy it is NOT ok
