holy shit i am so mad!! the amount of potential this manhua had!!! just to end like that with singlehandedly one of the WORST endings i have ever witnessed. it was so abrupt and you could tell it was very clearly rushed starting at ch. 54 all the way to the end, being ch. 56. it was on such a good path and pacing too and to have their relationship develop so suddenly and for xiao xiao to be so calm about realizing his feelings for junran in only 3 chapters is just really abnormal especially considering xiao xiao's personality. i definitely do NOT blame the author for whatever reason they had to rush the ending, and i'm almost 100% positive it wasn't their fault. i'm just sad that such a good manhua had to have such a shitty ending like that. :(
