From what I understand, Korean society is like this. There is a massive problem with bullying so they take it seriously when it comes to any public appearance but they never adress the root problem, which is actually punishing the bullies in the moment.
Another thing that is very unfortunate is that because of this, accusing someone of being a bully can ruin their career even if it is not true. So dumb.
I was a KPop fan for many years so I kinda know stuffs and believe me. Bullying is very common there, so Hyun truly trusted Anbin knowing fully that once someone knows about his situation, they can use it to bully him.
It is also a scandal for KPop idols to be once a bully. Those are death sentences for their career and would often leave their company and group because of such scandals, even if it's not proven.
