Jeongmin admitted to her friend that she came to realise that she loved Siyoon so much she was ready to sacrifice her life for him, to support his new acting career (fame comes with many ups and downs, and being someone famous’ partner put you under the spotlight, and it’s easy to become a target of drama or revenge). Jeongmin’s friend tells her that she’s worried for her for this exact reason… and she’s not wrong, because that’s exactly what happenes next.
Scarred Guy wants to get back at Siyoon for old highschool drama, and goes to Jeongmin’s workplace, supposedly waiting inside of his car for her shift to end. He kidnaps and kills her, takes a picture and baits Siyoon to come to him. There he proceeds to show him he found his weakness: his girlfriend, which is shown dead in the picture.
Siyoon in his monologue says that Jeongmin always told him she would be there for him, that he was no trouble and she would support him. But, as always, everything goes downhill. Even if he tryied everything possible to keep staying with her (4 years long distance relationship, mending their toxic relationship, pursing his career to secure them a future), he came to realise that because of his past wanting to be with Jeon only meant to be “greedy”… and that eventually lead to her death.
