I still don't understand why he resents him ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I blame the King...he is the one who sent the tiger god away to fight on the frontlines, and out of fear, disgust, and jealousy of everybody calling him the tiger god or w.e he sent for the princesses family to be killed and clan be treated as slaves.. at this time the tiger god was very young, didn't want to defy his dad of going to frontlines, nor did he think his father would take that as his chance the brand the boys (the princesses) clan traitors.. he never knew himself of their innocence until much later, let alone know he had something to do with the death of the boys family.... I think regardless of how much the princess came to hate him...once he realized the truth of it all being the Kings fault, everything should've made more sense and he should've loosened up more with blaming the tiger god.. but I guess that would make the story far too simple lol.
Because doram opened cp’s eyes, it become more apparent that cp is the black tiger god. This made the king go mad cos before it was just speculation but now it became real. He is paranoid the cp will usurp his throne (which is ridiculous cos cp will inherit it anyways) then the king sent cp to the battlefield to die and accused doram’s family for treason (forged evidence) to essentially punish them for opening co’s eye. Doram then tried to get help from cp (he just knows cp is some government official) from a promise they made before that cp will help. But cp was gone and he cant identify him, so doram thought cp abandoned him and his family and their promise. He was detained and news of his family’s death reached him. With no one to blame and not knowing what the fck is happening, young doram’s rage and sorrows turned to blaming cp for abandoning them. Not the king cos he doesnt know the king, but cp who he personally knows became the object pf his resentment.
Wait wrong answer, doram “resents” cp is because he is deeply affected by younger self’s feelings. Remember that the goblin said that he felt so much sorrow that it almost killed him. That is how deep it was, and even if it mellowed out, it still affected doram, enough to make him recoil against the prince. Trauma so deep, so painful, so dark, so self destructive, it literally reset his pure mind. So despite being aware of the truth, it doesnt erase the very real emotions his young self had to endure feeling.
