The story is pretty repetitive but that’s usually how this genre is and at least it’s consistent in comparison to the others. I’m really curious about Nanami’s potential character development. There are so many parallels between Shirayuki and Nanami regarding their relationship with Haruki and I love it. When Shirayuki first meets Haruki, he saves him from the bullies and asks him why he allows it to happen, especially when there’s plenty of ways for him to beat them. Haruki tells him that it’s better if it’s him because if not, it’ll be someone else in his place. Then jump forward to when Haruki is working with Nanami, the same thing happens. Haruki is being bullied and Nanami steps in and then asks Haruki the same exact question! Haruki gives the same exact answer too! Even their character introductions mirror one another. Another instance of Nanami mirroring Shirayuki is when Nanami is questioning his feelings about Haruki (“Why did I instinctively save him?” and “This feeling must be—“) The only difference is that Shira’s conclusion was love and Nana’s conclusion was hatred. Such a nice little detail lol, I can’t wait to see how he progresses and whether it’ll be for better or worse.

Oh also, I’m kind of torn on the possibility that the stalker fujoshi girl will try to set Haruki up with Nanami mostly because of the facade he has going on but also because he seems to be around the same height as Haruki, taller by like an inch maybe. I think the only other character that came close to her ideal type was actually Kagami but I doubt he’ll make a comeback so soon (that and he’s missing an eye now + he also has that nice guy facade going on)

Why does everyone think Ricky is Hojoong’s son? That wasn’t a flashback, it was a dream he had after losing consciousness. When he wakes up, he literally addresses it as such, “A dream..? Since when?”
Also the timeline wouldn’t align, his son is still a child. The panel where his kid is being taken is just MC imagining what’ll happen to his son if he doesn’t pay off his debt. At the start of the story, it’s stated that he recently separated from his wife and that she and their son are living with her brother so it can’t be Ricky. Also iirc when Ricky was 11, Hojoong had just retired so Ricky is significantly older than Hojoong’s son.
