This is because he internalised what Alex said“It’s not possible if its not an omega.”
So when he heard that Alex hasn’t been with any, apart from confusion, he probably felt relieved (maybe even hopeful to desire him again). Ofc he still has to get over the feeling of betrayal and that takes time. I believe that Natha offered to help Alex at the hotel because he no longer have to face the painful thought of Alex being with omegas or him preferring omegas over Nathan. No one who truly hates someone will jump at the first chance to use their body as therapy.
And lastly this is also why I think Nathan chose to top. Because he doesn’t want Alex to compare being with him to being with an omega who bottoms.
