I'm just appalled by the way its so abrupt. Like, we finally get an inkling of real development, and boom, story is over. And the entire thing was fetishized grape like please, i know some people are kinky and whatnot, that's fine, but it's incredibly disappointing how SO. MANY. authors just make the abuse and dismissal normal. can we PLEASE start collectively normalizing healthy relationships, even IF it starts out unhealthy. I'm talking as someone who has read many many many manga since early middle school. Finding a healthy queer relationship is like looking for hay in a stack of needles.

If author-nim could've allowed jaekyung to be introspective about his shit actions sooner when he is SURROUNDED by people with morals who care about him, and if Kim Dan could've gotten just a SINGLE month of therapy during his rehab, anything, and allow that spineless angel of a boy to have some fucking self worth. I actually liked this author's first story why do so manu yaoi authors just endorse fully unhealthy relationships i dont give a fuck how kinky you are, but fetishizing a grape and stockholm based relationship with no genuine character development is just grosssss .. nah... im trying to feel pity for him, but this whole story turned dogshit the moment grape was used as a plot device.. (which is really what's ruining most adult themed comics presently) and even holding out, trying to wait and see if the redemption arc is any good, is a pathetic disappointment.. I love the art, and i really used to love this author, but at this point im only reading Jinx to see it through to the end, and because i need to see dan reach a healthy point after all this fuckin bullshit. If jaekyung isnt crying once every chapter after this i dont think his suffering is enough. No more dan suffering. Jaekyung needs to suffer for sufferings sake.

Girl we already know they’re endgame; they’re way too deep into each other. The only thing is... Dan needs to learn how to play his cards right. He needs to stop being shy over every little thing and start taking advantage of Jaekyung’s money. He should be the one taking control in bed and sleeping with him whenever he feels like it too. Now that JK realized Dan is the only person he’s ever loved (and the only one who can stand him), Dan should have him wrapped around his finger. end of story. jinx as a story could've been saved the whole time, but it feels like a deliberate choice to wrap it up so frantically without even trying to create genuine character development jinx is straight up emotional manipulation and grape in a financially trapped relationship. barf.
