And for those saying there's no romantic undertone, Chiaki has not smiled since his ex aka Yuu is making Chiaki feel all the things he hasn't since his ex passed. BL isn't obviously the forefront genre, as the story focuses on much more than that. It's a story about two confused souls finding each other - and they happen to both be dudes. Once in a blue moon I come back here and I'd say the story is a success given how much discourse it's still getting looool. At the end of the day, TJ and YW chose each other and are together forever and Jo eventually moves on with a new handsome man. Probably will bottom too.
