I understand this is a woke manhwa and i love that so much, but why can’t she just be a powerful Queen and rule over the kingdom as a Queen?? I would’ve loved to see her be a kind and powerful queen whose king is just a trophy husband.

the society is very misogynistic. if she were to rule as queen, it would mean giving the crown to her husband. she’s king so as to not cause any confusion.
The crown was his to begin with she married into his country she’s a princess from another country so for tht the emperor would’ve had to give her his crown unless she went back to her homeland and conquered it
i think this is the only instance where i am actively rooting for the 2nd male lead. I want to talk about mashimo being a huge dick and the parallels between him and hirara. The way he was completely selfish during their "first" time, he essentially sa'd her. He basically jumped her because he got horny. While hirrara took his time till SHE was comfortable with it, it didn't matter how horny he was as long as she felt comfortable he didn't care about his own pleasure. Their bath scenes where he took her clothes off and got into the bath with her unconsensually, does not matter that she was sick he was just a pervert for doing that, where as hirara was ASKED to join her. Mashimo already making up his mind that HE is going to marry her while he's too much of a pussy to confess to his ex when HE was the one who ghosted her after their "first time." While hirara took his time to make sure kikka felt the same as he did and was comfortable with him. Anyways moral of the story is that THEY SHOULD PUT MASHIMO ON A DAM FIRE PYRE!!!!

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking since FMI! For Queen Otohime’s dream to become a reality, Fishman Island would have to be destroyed so its people can finally live on the surface, under the bright sun (like Shirahoshi said). And for the giants’ dream to come true, the world as it is would need to crumble first. Everything feels like it’s pointing toward massive change!
i feel like it'll one of those where, regardless of whats happening, the world would be destroyed. and nika/luffy's role is to actually repair it. like the world would end one way or another, its just that luffy/nika would be there at ground zero, laughing as the world end. and with his drum of liberation usher in new dawn (also feel like this is what happened with the previous joyboy ) just a theory tho!
