oof, I hate kids with a passion and even I would still make sure that they were ok if they almost got run over. Her mom entrusted you with her safety because she thought you would take care of her daughter, I was already kinda iffy about Genie dropping Ani with her friend because I know her friend is a good person who's probably better with kids than her but she was going to be away from Ani for at least a month. While Ani doesn't like Genie all too much being with her is probably more comfortable that being with a total stranger in an unfamiliar place. She could at least be a little worried or act concerned for Ani's wellbeing.
