As far as I understand:
The closed beta was going to be human experiments (probably to get the right level of realistic). Which the brother found and probably to leave evidence made into a very hidden dungeon.
The human experiments really happened to the younger brother (zodiac). And either to get stronger, to get the evidence zodiac needs or to find a trace of the brother's whereabouts he went back into his one personal hell (the experiments).
The experiment is probably exactly as shown. As normal of a situation (being a doctor at a hospital) turning into a painful monster fest to get genuine emotions.
The experiments are probably also why zodiac had scars and can't feel pain. And he just wants someone to relate to I think or he remembers other people in the closed beta, but doesn't know if they were NPC or players or if the players even survived. (I suspect he's the only survivor)
Does that mean the prince had set this whole thing up beforehand or what why is it important that he didn’t have any luggage (sorry I’m dumb af)
He was supposed to run away with her, he clearly wasn't doing that, so then what was he doing is her question. And then all the things, that she thought were weird but thought it wouldn't be related to him at all, all started to connect, he sent men after Reynold knowing that she on the carriage and as such showed he was willing to gamble her life away to see if she would survive. So now she can't trust as he doesn't value her life or doesn't seem to care for her well being or if she was physically or mentally hurt. And that is very worrysome for her. So now she wants to run away from him too as she can't trust him. In my opinion he mey be trying to use her against her supposed family, but I don't know that for sure.
